Every platform should have a regular Market Order function. Market If Touched (MIT) orders however are not native to every platform and last time I asked Ninja they did NOT offer MIT orders. Open ECry does offer MIT orders.

Most brokers, incl OEC, will close your position out long before you have negative equity. Check with any potential broker and ask what their policy and if you can set your own restrictions that are higher than the firm's if you want to.

My suggestion maximus is to get a personalized quote for commissions. The site lists the 'general, retail' rates, but depending on the type of volume you plan to trade, that can be highly negotiated.

I agree EH but the problem is that also part of the American mentality is - I screwed up so I better sue someone else for my actions. That's also a part of the American spirit.

The rule is meant to keep tiny accounts from churning their $5k into 0 in no time. Futures do not have the PDT, easy way around that rule.

Nothing 'magical' about trading with candlesticks. Simply put, you cannot do a backtest as you 'experimented' with. Candles are not as easy as any average joe saying find me a hammer and then proving they don't work. Candlesticks are to be taken into the context into which they are being...

There are so many holes with your little 'experiment' I wouldn't even know where to begin. This experiment did not prove or disprove anything about candlestick trading.

I also have DTN dan and it looks good when comparing.

Ray - while you are impressed with Infinity, I was not. The rates I was quoted was not even in the ballpark of what OEC is charging me. Point being, make sure to do your homework and contact a few brokers when deciding where to trade. For me, Infinity was not even a remote option.

Thanks for the update Ryan. Anytime I've had questions or concerns about OEC, I hear back. It may not be fixed right away, but they work hard at making their software the best it can be. The most recent update was really, really nice.

Good luck finding a futures broker that has insurance on your funds... Maybe they are out there but have never come across that myself.

10 - I actually did notice something about a month or so ago, but as of late, we are good. Changes made by OEC: 1) Altered their firewall settings 2) New software upgrade These two changes have me back at normal speed.
