And you trade forex because.... I can't recall seeing any CME/CBOT futures traders posting that their broker just decided to wipe out a trade and/or profits. I do not understand how they can even do this, but perhaps it's time to rethink the markets being traded.

mini - I use T4 and always have an open order book window open as a safeguard to what you are saying. From this window I can quickly and easily cancel any orders or change them from the window or DOM. http://www.ctsfutures.com/content/t4/

Jake - there's a few threads floating around ET about this topic, so try the search feature too. As for colleges and such, I recommend something with money and computer programming. I majored in Finance and while that was good for certain things, I sure could use more computer programming...

It's a grey area that is for sure. Since they are trading futures, a Series 7 does not apply here, a Series 3 would. They fall under the regulation of the NFA / CFTC, not the SEC.

One piece of advice - STAY AWAY FROM BIGTRENDS.COM Their services are a joke and the way they account for trades is completely unreliable to say the least. Do your homework first before putting $ into anything. Use google.com to find reviews and sites out there that critique what you are...

If you are not trading any size, then yes, this is a more pertinent question. If trading size however, the per trade rates can be highly negotiated lower.

Good luck automating that. I'm sure it's possible and if you can find it, sounds like it could be the missing piece of the puzzle.

I seem to recall a stretch where we got a daily thread from you that said trading the index fut's was too difficult. You didn't seem to have your permabull stature then... All dips and corrections test the bull in all of us, incl mymini!

You can easily get under 4 bucks depending on the volume or just finding an aggressive broker.
