Of course. And why not? A "genuine edge" is nothing more than the probability that a particular market behavior will provide a consistently profitable result over time. The challenge lies not in finding an edge but in trading it.

Old news. And they're so rare -- the real ones -- that they're not worth bothering with. By the time you have confirmation, you're already well into the trade and in profit. Better to just stick with the program, which is why this doesn't include "patterns".

Already done that. Over and over again. Why would I want to do it again, much less compete with a bunch of anonymous strangers, not one of whom has yet to post a trading plan? If you don't want to take the time and effort to verify my results, don't. What is it to me?

Not a correction, exactly. For the most part, the reason for drawing the mean in the first place is to verify the accuracy of the limits, though the mean, if accurate, can also offer good trading opportunities, at least in real time. If the mean and the limits can't align, then something's wrong.
