Price moving up past the mean to the top of the TR.

    Is day trading worth it?

    Mostly a matter of ego.

    Is day trading worth it?

That's what it's supposed to be. A lot of people forget that.

    Is day trading worth it?

It's more productive than another 300 posts on what a fraud I am. It'll be over soon.

    Is day trading worth it?

No idea how this is going to resolve itself, but if price breaks below the lower limit of the TR, wait for a pullback. When that occurs, place an entry stop just below the crest of the pullback. I use a point, but that's up to the trader. 0915 and here we sit. Same place.

    Is day trading worth it?

The mean of the channel has now shifted down to 57, key word being "now".

    Is day trading worth it?

Watch price. Now. The TR is not theoretical, nor is price's position in it.

    Is day trading worth it?

Still sitting in this range. Price tested the last swing high at 0750 but returned to the range. Now it appears ready to test that level again. This BTW using a 5m interval. The mean of this range BTW is 57.5. 0900 and price is returning to the range.

    Is day trading worth it?

Depends on the bar interval. But a retracement is any move counter to the prevailing move. Some call it a pullback. A breakout in this case is a move above or below a trading range. The pdf that's been mentioned provides a number of chart examples, or one can look at the charts posted to my...

Still sitting in this range. Notice the relationship of this range to yesterday evening's swing high.

    NQ Price Action Journal

Not necessarily. We've been trading sideways since 2100. If we break through this, look for a long.

    Is day trading worth it?

As I said, twice, if price breaks above the TR, go long on a retracement. If it breaks below, go short on a retracement. Do you know what a retracement is? If you don't, see the linked material. Or do a search for "retracement".

    Is day trading worth it?

No, I'm describing what's GOING to happen, unless price stays in this range for the rest of the session. If that occurs, there will be no trade for today. As to how it provides an edge, that is in the material for which I provided a link, including the definition of an edge. And "scratching"...

    Is day trading worth it?

As for this morning, and due to the continued fascination with this, particularly among those who don't know what auction market theory is (or, apparently, Market Profile, which is based on same) and have no interest in reading about it, I'll show you how it works in practice. The first chart...

    Right here. Charts and everything.

    Is day trading worth it?

True. A "career trader" isn't going to get very far by blaming his shortcomings on a guru or a mentor or a vendor or a book or a course or whatever. Either he is willing to put together a consistently-profitable plan or he isn't. No one can make him do so. Except perhaps his employer.

Ghost of If You Can Draw A Straight Line

No changes in yesterday's charts, except that price is higher. Pay particular attention to the fact that price is nearing the upper limit of the March channel but also the mean of the October channel. This should make for an interesting day.

    Is day trading worth it?

As long as one is following the rules, it doesn't matter when they're drawn. Does that make it easy? Of course not. People jump into trades or avoid them for reasons that have nothing to do with the strategy or tactics, usually fear. Exiting a trade due to the break of a line is no different...

    Why do traders fail?

I've wondered the same thing, for years. Perhaps the key word is "follow". A happy April to you, too, in spite of everything.
