switching gears to Price Action via SLA

This may be a start. I wrote it many moons ago: Iyanla Vanzant is a writer, philosopher, poet. I first became aware of her through In The Meantime, described by Amazon as follows: According to author and inspirational speaker Iyanla Vanzant, being in the "meantime" means being in a state...

    No, just wrong.

    Is day trading worth it?

If you don't have ticks, you don't have a bar.

I suppose re-languageing had something to do with it. What green is referring to. I'll see if I can find something in my computer. I wrote a bunch about the "mind game" about twenty years ago.

    Is day trading worth it?

Someone put it a slightly different way today, that trading exposes one's personality/character flaws. Those who can't stand that, quit. Or as Jack Nicholson would put it . . .

    Is day trading worth it?

If you have the tick data, you can create a bar out of it of any duration. Just determine a beginning point and an ending point.

Not necessarily, though possible. One is about ego. The other is about living in a box under a bridge.

    Trading Price:Phase Two:Backtesting

Today provided just the sort of environment that requires backtesting. Without it, one can draw all the wrong conclusions about what he ought to be doing next time due to what he thinks he should have done today. We had discussed at length the overnite activity on the 1st that had a mean of...

    Is day trading worth it?

Actually, your first post was "What is your prediction for S&P 500 today or say the next days/weeks?", and when I explained that the approach wasn't about calls but about tracking price, you became rather dismissive. Hardly respectful. As for the rest, you complained about how you were...

    Is day trading worth it?

As I said 300 posts ago, there are several sequences of charts posted in my first journal. If you can find a chart I've posted that doesn't follow the rules I've also posted, please let me know so that I can either explain the chart or apologize for the error. Of course charts lie and losers...

    Is day trading worth it?

Too much work. Isn't there a trading room I can join somewhere and just trade somebody's calls? Or a mentor I can hire so that I don't actually have to come up with a trading plan?

    Is day trading worth it?

I suppose I shouldn't surprised that no one in dp's posse has asked how long a trading period resulted in that win rate and P:L ratio. Nor should I be surprised that they don't understand the P:L ratio that results when one cuts his losses short and lets his profits run. As for the...
