who cares about the long run? what is wrong with earning for a short time? in any case there are traders who run 20-30 yrs as a "short run".

with spx vol so low i'm bored; but i will tell you imo u can fade a rising market (or vol) as even in strong bulls you have fast snap backs that you can reduce on. i trade vol extremely similar to how ammo trades es..well before 2008 i may add.

thats another question that is irrelevant to trader who make a living here. where a guy who has run say a money making restaurant for 20 yrs vs a money making trader of 20 yrs (that would be me) the returns probably are similar. the business man has capital expenses constantly, employee costs...
