Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

Something I think is very obvious that not many consider is also commission costs compared in percentage terms to their avg win/loss. What percentage of each trade are you giving to the house? It can be detrimental over trading on smaller time frames when essentially you are giving the...

""We're running out of hope. Can't you see?"

I hate to say it but Greece is the case study for what will happen here . Digging the debt hole has never had a good ending throughout history. Thinking "this time it's different" is a mistake . History repeats.

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

I still want to know if those using "the obvious" are using an always in approach or a target approach.

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

Some may prefer to... A. Add to winners as they progress. or B. Have small stop relative to target . Both A and B require knowledge of the right location to implement each of course. I love the Paul Tudor Jones "trader" doc where he says he is risking 10 cents to make a potential...

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

I think the point of the thread is to get people to think for their self first and foremost . We can't control price but we can control risk. Everyone will come to their own obvious conclusions of whatever their "obvious " may be.

Is the market in an uptrend now??

Look at your screen for your chosen period and timeframe . Did Price go up or down during that period and timeframe? Different timeframes and periods can have different and overlapping trends. Pick ONE and trade it.

GOLD AT 5,000??? Bubble or super depression.

A hyperinflationary depression, Gold will trade at insane levels in nominal terms. Deflationary depression , Gold can fall pretty damn hard but at least it's an asset that can't be printed out of thin air.

Is the market in an uptrend now??

Define the timeframe you are trading first. Then you can answer where the "now" bar is currently going. Is it breaking previous bars' highs, or previous bars' lows?
