Just because IB lets you do this, does not mean in your state you don't have to register as an RIA. You still must follow state securities laws if this is a securities business. If it's future's, you still have to follow NFA/CFTC rules.

I guess you are right on options. Fixed stock rate at IB is $0.005 while $0.0065 at Livevol. Options they have a fixed rate of $0.65 with a higher minimum than IB. EIther way, if you trade good volume, you can do better by paying for LiveVOl Pro and getting your own commission rate at another...

I thought you had to elect for a calendar year before you file your tax return. So for 2015, you had to do that by April 15 2015. There might be another process to do this now, for 2015 that I'm not aware of.

You are looking at the tiered rate not the fixed rate.

Sogotrade does clear through Apex Clearing. In general, Apex only offers Reg-T account to foreign based accounts not CPM. Bob

The answer is yes. Non-pro data rates are for customer accounts with no entity. If in the future you are not registered with a broker dealer and trade in an account without an entity, you are a non-pro customer again.

They can only offer accounts to whom ever their clearing firm will approve. Do they still clear apex?
