Brokers/ Platforms with Accurate Real Time Margin Display

As far as I know, only retail platforms do those calculations. The professional platforms don't want the responsibility to make the calculations, because margin can change.

    ES options vs Spy options...

Yes, the tax advantage is available to futures, options on futures, cash indexes and options on cash indexes. These products also have generally wider electronic spreads and are harder to trade. I think only very experienced traders should open futures accounts or trade high priced indexes with...

    Reverse Pricing Formula

Very simple. Go to a website that Calculates option value. Put in today's implied volatility, the option strike and stock price, but instead of using the days to expiration from today, enter the number of days you want to simulate. so, if there are 15 days to expiration now and you want values...

    has anyone experienced unlimited trading?

How is the firm capitalized? You're going in as a class B member of a firm that is only making $600/month, per trader. I'd be concerned with the safety of my capital. No SIPC for firm money.

    connection speed

The reality is that the more symbols and charts and active windows you have open, the more you'll need. I personally like FIOS because the bandwidth is not shared like cable modems, and you get up and down speeds that are very high. If you're trading full time, spending an extra $15 -...

    connection speed

If you're on a platform that is run locally, I would look for a little more bandwidth. If your on a platform that is server based, it might be plenty. Are you see any issues? You should call your broker and ask what they recommend.

    best Platform for trade allocation

I don't know of any platforms that do live allocations. Sterling Trader and Silexx Obsidian, two of the platforms we offer, can post trade allocate, but you don't have to wait until after the close. You just have to wait until after the trade.

    has anyone experienced unlimited trading?

I assume your orders are routed to a manged route where an equity market maker holds your orders, rather than Direct Market Access where you choose and receive rebates and have control. Opening and closes can be unpredictable with managed routes. You don't get the primary market price.

    Span v portfolio margin

In the US, there is no cross margin unless you're a self clearing broker dealer. So, if your long ES and short SPY, there is NO margin offset. Also, futures accounts and equity/option accounts are separate. In a PM account, securities are in street name. Futures accounts are all segregated. Many...

    Span v portfolio margin

Portfolio margin is for equities and option, span is for futures and option. That makes it hard to compare because futures are leveraged product while equities are not. In general, Span is more generous. "The beauty of SPAN is that after calculating the worst-case daily move for one...
