    Life in Venezuela

I recently saw that Chicago, Baltimore, Philadelphia. Los Angeles......the 4,5 cities with the highest murder rates constituted 1/4 of the murders in the country. All of them have tough gun laws for law abiding citizens. The crime rate in the U.S. is not as high as many reports would suggest...

    Life in Venezuela

It keeps getting better........worse... I just saw this on yahoo.... ---- From 2007 to 2014, China lent Venezuela $63 billion — 53 percent of all its lending to Latin America during this time. There was an important catch to this largesse; to guarantee repayment, Beijing insisted on being...

    Life in Venezuela

So much for Socialism. Notice how it began when they outlawed guns. I had not idea that they had built their homes out of concrete and shielded them with 3 metal doors.

    Life in Venezuela

Things have gone from bad to worse to unbelievable... This was written by a woman whose first language is Spanish. It's a pretty dramatic portrayal of her daily life in Venezuela. We never hear this much about it. -------------- Private ownership of guns was banned in 2012. Then things...

Need some help with a Numb leg and foot.

I don't go to the gym anymore but I exercise at home. My confidence level is that I may have twisted or torn something while exercising. I do sit cross legged when I have my laptop on my legs.....dunno if that is the problem. If the problem was minor it would not be existing for 6,8 weeks...

Need some help with a Numb leg and foot.

I am 5ft 8 and 180. My sugar levels and all the usual blood results were all within the safe range last year. I have eaten very little bread since last Fall when the doc told me to avoid Gluten, white bread and wheat bread. NO chocolate?...........I eat some every day.....I love...

Need some help with a Numb leg and foot.

Thanks, the doc suggested an MRI but when the Xray came back negative he declined the MRI. But Xrays and MRI's are two different tests. It's like checking your oil to fix your brakes. I am going to call the insurance company Monday and see if I can visit another doctor and if they will cover...

Need some help with a Numb leg and foot.

Thanks, I should have insisted that the full blood test to be done but I did not know it was only a partial test until I received the results. When I discussed the results with my doctor he was nonchalant about the results and then he gave me a lecture about B12 vitamins and returning in 8...

    Who's Got the Best Pizza?

If I had to eat the same pizza everyday I would make sure that it was a Supreme Combo so I could get vegetables and at least pretend that I was eating a well balanced diet. I have only eaten at Mama's Pizza twice but it was good and it's independent. http://www.mamaspizzas.net/ Somehow I am...

Need some help with a Numb leg and foot.

First the back story....... I have been doing push-ups and sit-ups for about a year and a half, 50 of each every morning. About 6-8 weeks ago I got bored and decided to do something different. I tried an exercise app from Johnson and Johnson and I started yoga from a YouTube video....yoga...

    Crime and Punishment

I think that they screen people that are vulnerable and convince them that this is the right thing to do. They have spoken to a few suicide bombers and some of them were mentally challenged and some were coached for weeks before they attempted to do what they did. Or should I said what they...

This start-up is offering $8,000 blood transfusions from teens to people who want to fight aging

Tens of millions of blood transfusions and plasma transfusions are done every year around the world. Surely, if it was effective; someone would have noticed the correlation many years ago and we would all be doing it. Doctors are smart like that.

    Puerto Rico bonds

It would be worth a lot more if it was the 51st state. If they had statehood, real estate developers and investors would outnumber the residents.

    Puerto Rico bonds

I am sure they are or at least they could be. But it's my impression that they are being held until they rise to 50 or 75 cents on the dollar. It would be interesting to learn what percentage of outstanding bonds, sold by the Venezuelan govt are held my Americans, Canadians, British etc... I...

    Spoofing Metal Prices

Thanks, that is a bit clearer. I wonder how often they put in bids that they intended to cancel and got caught holding the bag?

    Puerto Rico bonds

What about Venezuela? You can buy their bonds at a major discount but they should pay them off eventually. I know they have defaulted on their bonds before, but this is a different era and I don't think the international community would accept that now. They have the largest oil reserves in...
