Silver down over 9% since Friday's close

Why thankfully? That would've been an awesome buy position.

RSI - Relative Strength Index (Wilder) & RMI - Relative Momentum Index

It's a necessarily step for someone who is new to the market to do exactly what you are doing. You will spend weeks, months, or even years on this. You'll eventually decide RSIW and RMI are useless and you will move onto the next indicators, and you will repeat this process many times. If...

Price algorithm entries? (entering as a function of price instead of with TA or S/R)

Guys, there's this thing that works. I know it works because I do it. Of course, I can't tell you how to do it. But it works. Trust me. Like I said, guys. Just trust me. I'm not going to tell you anything but it's possible. Yeah. And not even the smartest people in the world...

RSI - Relative Strength Index (Wilder) & RMI - Relative Momentum Index

Which is the same as where it is relative to where it was a certain number of bars ago. Those moving averages are derived from price, so it's just a roundabout way of telling you where price is relative to where it was a certain number of bars ago. Even if one is superior to another...

Price algorithm entries? (entering as a function of price instead of with TA or S/R)

Maybe you can get context to the noise with two period Bollinger Bands or something. Of course there are those times when price just goes straight up or down without retracing at all, so it's probably going to have the same issues as trading Bollinger Bands with a longer period. See this...

RSI - Relative Strength Index (Wilder) & RMI - Relative Momentum Index

An indicator works or not based on if its settings are in sync with price movement. For example, sometimes using a setting of 14 will work perfectly to identify trends or tops or bottoms or whatever. But sometimes 14 might be exactly wrong, too, and 25 might work better. Or 17. Or 52. Or...

Silver down over 9% since Friday's close

Going back up but still below Friday's close. Why hasn't gold fallen that much? Don't gold and silver tend to move together?

    "lunchtime chop?" lol

"Chop" refers to price not being trendy over a period of time. It doesn't necessarily have much to do with the actual range of the bars. Your chart shows that the average range of a 30 minute bar around lunch time is less than 3 points, and the average range of a 30 minute bar in the morning...

Silver down over 9% since Friday's close

What a great buy point, too bad USLV isn't available to trade now.

Silver down over 9% since Friday's close

I have an order to buy USLV at $7.92 (posted on Friday here) but it might open much lower than that tomorrow.

    "lunchtime chop?" lol

So "chop" refers to the range of the individual bars rather than the range of the ES? Hmm, we have different definitions of chop, so I see why I disagreed about lunchtime "chop" being a thing.

A profitable journal with all entries/exits posted in advance

Holy cow, silver futures are down over 9% since Friday's close. This represents a drop in USLV of around 27%. USLV won't be available to trade until the open tomorrow, though. This represents a USLV value of about $6.90. Will be interesting to see what happens.

    "lunchtime chop?" lol

Where are you getting this? I just posted a chart that shows that "lunchtime" is very active, sometimes even moreso than the mornings.

Is there really a difference between live and SIM?

If you're trading 1 contract it's probably not going to make much of a difference if you trade SIM vs. live. If stops are hunted, your 1 contract isn't going to make a difference. If you're trading large size for your specific contract, then it might be a bit different. Sim accounts are...

Are you more comfortable buying or selling previous highs?

What I was asking in the original post doesn't require knowing if price is going to make a new high. What I wanted to know was, when price reaches the previous high, would you rather buy or sell? When price reaches the previous low level, do you buy or sell? Hold on I'll attach a chart.

Are all price patterns the same? (examples)

    1) I've graduated from college. 2) Yes. I had a library full but sold them all because they were all worthless once I got past the beginner stage. Cherry picked charts with indicators. An obligatory chapter on psychology. Money management, never risk more than 2% of your account on a...
