Which trading strategy would you prefer?

exactly in both scenarios i see the broker making the profit. loss/Break even for OP or best case scenario a very low net profit but unless OP is trading huge contracts or is sitting on huge cash pile, it does not seem like a good strategy in both cases. Any strategy near about 50-55% win/loss...

Which trading strategy would you prefer?

my suggestion would be go back to the drawing board and come with a new strategy. Any strategy that has less than 60-70% win ratio is not a good strategy, unless you like gambling and the euphoria associated with gamblers high. Both of your strategies are like flicking a coin where you either...

For me swing trading would require huge balls and capitals, as many a times news happens when market are closed and there is little you can do to counter that. Day trading i hardly hold trades longer then 5-10 minutes. Swing trading is like a hunter who sets up a trap and hopes that he will...

Yes most important lesson i have learnt is you need to have some sort of definitive edge and a strategy to implement that edge using the best parameters for risk and reward in terms of trading the ES. The edge is the primary factor while all else such as risk management, sizing, precision...

i dont trade more than 1-5 contracts per lot. It is the number of trades i take on an average 15-30 trades a day. i don't trade more than 3 contracts at get go, usually start with 1 and increase up to 5 depending on how it plays out. risk is usually less than 2 points per trade.

I would say if you are good with price action along with convergence and divergence in price in relation to other inverse co-related instruments. you can irk out a comfortable living scalping ES. I trade around 15-30 contracts average and so far have an average of 70+% win/loss ratio. Keeping...

New to day trading, change of career - best tools?

it will all depend on what you want to trade as a day trader. stocks, futures, options. Its different criteria for different trading style. for me trading index futures, as a day trader works out best. If you can put in the time and really understand some of the advice real traders give out, it...

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

many thanks, past few days had been transitioning to longer time frame. today was an excellent day for riding the RTH trends. Still not fully confident in doing swings, that is my goal. for now trading higher time frame during RTH and sticking to take profit target, along with precision entry...

Difference between newbie struggling trader vs successful trader

newbie traders open the trade, successful traders close the trade. I am referring to short time trading /scalping only. If you don't anticipate then you will never be able to scalp. Scalping 101 is anticipate, participate and exit, (APE).

Trouble Choosing Between Futures and Options

Hi one newbie options questions, I trade intraday ES. how do i go about hedging my risk, for ES, for short term trading ( RTH position open and position close when target is met or flat by end of RTH). I trade around 6-10 contracts and would like to limit the risk without involving stoploss. Is...

all novices:before you start trading read this

yes but if you take out certain levels that are not very strong or where price has not concentrated too much it does help in making the charts a little cleaner. i remove most lines that have already had their uses and then chart new ones, as price moves forward, only keeping some which have a...
