I am suprised this thread is almost 30 pages. There's obviously a lot of opinions presented here so the next step is for the original poster to try it and report back. Personally I believe this is going to be a losing proposition, but who knows.

Suggestion: If the stock is in a solid up trend, don't short it hoping you found the top. Just an idea. Although your dart and coin system is just that - a system.

TNG - great idea. A lot of forums have 'sticky' posts that are always at the top of the forum page. I like the idea.

I'm not sure where we are going, but that chart is very colorful! I guess I am of the keeping it simple breed. This is not a knock, just commenting on how different charts can be. I guess that's the great thing about trading - everyone has their own view and analysis techniques.

At this point I am seriously thinking about taking some college level classes at a local community college. They have an official 'graphic design' program and since I learn much better by watching and interacting, this might be the best way to go.

Tao - the Candlestick course is good - short and to the point. Japanese candlestick charting is more like a textbook, but very detailed.

austin - thanks for the reply, you are much better at explaining than I am. kut - I will just have to agree with that response. Way too complicated for me. :( As for Bernie, Austin, he is a Browns alum and Browns ONLY. That whole Dolphins thing was poor management up here. :D

I think that's who they are targetting with this - people with brokerage accounts at Merrill, AG Edwards, etc. What a simple pitch - Mrs. Smith why are you paying for stock trades? Move your money here and it's free! Then they can market their mortgages, cd's, insurances, mutual funds, etc. etc.

I don't trade stocks, but that is an interesting story. BAC is so huge that doing something like this makes perfect sense for them. I think it will attract interest from 'non-active' traders/investors - just move your checking account here and trade for free! Not a bad marketing gimic at all...
