    The Trouble With Scribbles

Again. *sigh* Failures are addressed in the material. Chop is addressed in the material. There are no 2Bs. Nor 1-2-3s. There is no "barbed wire".

    The Trouble With Scribbles

Given that Saturday was given over to an influx of Piranhas, Trolls, and Trolls-In-Training, I have to back up a bit to return to business, which is deciding what to do this afternoon when the market re-opens. So far, none of the trolls have offered any opinions on what should be done when the...

Sector Analysis Using Pure Price Action

Not entertainment. I'm getting ready to place orders. As for CL, I brought this up last February on the CL thread, but they all laughed so I didn't post anything further. But now that it's "broken out", I'm interested. You know, buy low, sell high? What the ET pros are always talking about?

Did you notice that the XLE broke out and is retracing?

    The Trouble With Scribbles

So, since justrader has left, a little recap: JT wanted to know why I was encouraging traders to trade chop on Thursday. I wasn't. JT wanted to know why I "liked" some post about encouraging traders to trade chop on Thursday. I didn't. JT wanted to know about my trades on Thursday. I...

Wow. A move to 19 would be something.

Since you missed the trade, apparently not. So why not plan for tomorrow's open and feed that hunger in a responsible way?

    The Trouble With Scribbles

You asked about trading chop. I provided what guidance the SLA offers with regard to trading chop. I follow that guidance and don't trade it. That's about as clear as I can make it.

You are 100% Certain to lose 99% of the time 1/2 the time.

Be careful what you ask for. The "bible" of trading price is Richard Wyckoff's course. But that's over 400pp long. I wrote a distillation of it which is a tenth the length, but that may not be enough detail for you. In any case, I doubt that it would be of much help to you if you're still...

    The Trouble With Scribbles

Apparently you didn't read it in its entirety. When one is stopped out on the long side and also on the short side, or vice-versa, he stops. Most people don't. That's not the fault of the SLA. So in answer to your question about trading chop, I don't, not when the above conditions are met.

    The Trouble With Scribbles

I entered at more or less the same level Eddie did on Friday (what does Thursday have to do with it?). Did you not read any of that? View his chart? As for whether or not any of "Db's Followers" made a profit on Friday, or Thursday, or any other day, so what? None of that puts any money in your...

    Christianity - For the Record

There are no such "facts". What I said, repeatedly, was that the conflict was going on long before there were any Christians and has nothing to do with religion. You may put your fingers back in your ears now.

The answer would be "no". :) Of course, it would be interesting and useful to discuss plans for Monday's trade, whether reversal or continuation. But that would be ahead of time.

If a reversal occurs at a predetermined level and no one trades it, does it make a sound?

    The Trouble With Scribbles

It is not possible to say what the market will or won't do. However, a mean-reverting instrument is likely to reverse at the limits of its trend channel as that is what defines a mean-reverting instrument. The NQ and ES have been doing so throughout the seven years of this bull market and have...

    Black Monday

No, no one can see it in real time. But once it's broken its uptrend and failed to make a higher high (or even come close), it's a safe bet that some "retracing" will take place, e.g., the NQ in '00 and '07. Neither the ES nor the NQ are anywhere near breaking their trends.
