Ghost of If You Can Draw A Straight Line

Once we dropped below 50, my only interest was in 3600. Whatever happened between 50 and there was of no particular interest. I exited at the brk of the SL bec I had to, but I had no hesitation at re-entering the short. When we passed through 3600, 3580 seemed like a foregone conclusion. But...

Ghost of If You Can Draw A Straight Line

Today's 1m. Chat started breaking up at 1100 and we hit the lower limit of the TC posted above, so I exited at the brk of the SL and quit since I had other things to do. Anyone who wants to draw the lines after 1100 for practice is welcome to do so. As to the hindsight thing, if 2+ days...

    Wyckoff's Monster

I use a 1m chart because time is important. As for the other details, they're in the posts. If you've read the 40+ that are recommended in the first post to the Ghost thread, everything should be there.

Ghost of If You Can Draw A Straight Line

The chart on the left was posted Friday. The chart on the right is today's chart. Does everybody see how this works?

If I may make a suggestion, in order to trade it, you have to be able to see it:

Only partly psychological. Many people have trouble distinguishing between up and down, hence the indicators.

    Wyckoff's Monster

This simply means that the trade isn't doing what you expected it to do. The SLA will take you out when price breaks one or the other of the lines. But some people don't want to wait that long. Or they want to give price more room to breathe. All of which are perfectly okay. The SLA is...

I got it!.....I lost it...The search for consistency.

You can use the computer to backtest if you want something fast and you want to trade mechanically, but you'll have no way of knowing whether or not the computer backtest is worth anything until you actually begin trading it. So why not just start forwardtesting it to begin with? And if you...

Or you could test all of it, maintain meticulous records, and go with what provides the best yield. Then you don't have to rely on feelings. Or the opinions of others. Altho if you're going to rely on the opinions of others, ND is probably the best way to go.

But you're not buying a pullback in an uptrend. You're shorting -- or should be -- a pullback in a downtrend.

    boru's price action journal

Until the lens of experience focuses information, it does almost no good. No matter how much the marketing machines of the Information Age would have us think otherwise, information by itself isn't power: knowledge is. And turning information into knowledge requires more time, experience, and...

    NQ - Supply & Demand

    NQ - Supply & Demand

In a word, yes. But. You can rationalize plotting all sorts of lines. But you've seen the charts where there are so many lines that price can't help but hit something. Then you're left with the task of figuring out what matters and what doesn't. I suggest you keep it as simple as possible in...

    NQ - Supply & Demand

Without going into the details of what you did, this is a good example of the point I've been trying to make about being flexible in the application of AMT and the SLA. If one is practically paralyzed by fear, then, yes, the more mechanical, the better. But mechanical is not an essential...

Easy edges in the markets for retail participants?

Exactly right: The first step is to determine the current trend of the market (Wyckoff): The second step is to determine one's place in the current trend: The third step is to determine the proper timing of one's entry into whatever it is he's trading. The fourth step is to manage...

Easy edges in the markets for retail participants?

Why would I want to put you on ignore? You might after all begin to approach this as a business at some point rather than a recreational activity, at which time you might begin to understand the comments made by others to you.
