Benchmarq vs. Cy Group vs. JC Trading vs. Guardian

That's the least of his concerns.....integrity, honesty, and forthrightness more important. The firm could be financially stable and you'll still get cheated and robbed to death....if the above are absent.

IB Update speed on futures bid ask size insane today?

You are implying about 125 trades (sides) per day on average ? Really ? What's your average net profit per contract ...1 tick, 2 ticks, ??

    The Surf Report

On a positive note here, CROX is at a critical juncture.....a hold of the 54 level is so important for the longs. If it gets taken out, next stop is probably 50 or so. Surf's still short, right ?

    Timmay Gets Bitch Slapped

What changed in his strategy ? Was he long during the recent August swoon ?

I am closing my IB account

Sorry, I don't agree. Default settings come about from a consensus of user feedback. Since IB does not have any beta testing process, they just guess on settings. So their software development PROCESS is flawed.

    The Surf Report

Hang in there Surf.....this was just a nasty "kill the shorts" move by the Fed. They're now out of ammo for a while While you're out, watch gold and silver.

    9/18/07 - A Sad Day For America

Bloomberg had an interview this morning with investment manager Marc Farber...and it was great. He laughed at the US Fed. His best comment was how Greenspan was "canned" as the economist at an investment firm he was working at 30 years ago. Here is another call of his...

Open E Cry what a disappointment!

Whoa....this is looking pretty bad for them, no ? Can poor technical performance be outweighed by good customer service ? I think not. Look at IB.

    The Surf Report

Fast Money tonite calling for 3/8 point reduction. Interesting: not too disappointing for those hoping for 1/2. It just may work to keep this market from tanking. I think 1/4 would be a huge disappointment.

How to improve Java app efficiencies?

I've tested Thinkorswim's excellent Java trading platform as well as IB's TWS. Both tested well with Priority Master. Strange thing: Java 1.6 has not yet been endorsed by EITHER TOS or IB because of bugs and side-effects in the 1.6 JDK. This would indicate a short postion in JAVA, formerly...

Greenspan says US interest rates going to double digits

And NOW we're going to pay for it. This is the "END GAME". Next 10 years could be mean for long term investors.

I am closing my IB account

Whoops, just saw that post of the configuration for the closing......but my point is still valid: that option should have been checked by default. If that had occurred, that trader have one less thing to complain about.

I am closing my IB account

This is a great example of "attention to detail"....or in this case, lack thereof. IB has been moving so fast, on so many "fronts", they've overlooked the obvious. I have reviewed their API in detail technically, and it suffers in much the same way. Yes, it works, but WOW, it could have been...

Trader P/L 2007 Questions and Discussion

Exactly what are those reasons ? I've been in communication with MBAGEARHEAD thru both the bad times and now the good times. If it was ALL good times, THEN I too would be suspicious. This guy has paid his dues, learned a lesson about stupid indicator-based trading, and now is doing quite well.

    Dollar Devaluation

It's "pay back" time for the US economy....and now we are oh-so-hosed and Bernanke knows it. The key "fixes" needed: 1) less government spending 2) smaller government; less bureaucracy 3) de-legislation of stupid laws that impede growth just never happened. I leave it up to the astute...

Trader P/L 2007 Questions and Discussion

Let's not forget that MBA had been LOSING CONSISTENTLY back in March of this year. It was so bad, I stopped visiting the P&L 2007 forum....it was painful to watch. Note: at that time, he was using a "system" that was built using ESignal. Bottomline: 1) systems are great till they stop...
