For crying out loud IB ... please release TWS 876

Agreed, but what about the issue of the lagging workstation version of TWS ? Why would they put out a BROWSER-BASED version ahead of the workstation version ? Has that been answered ?

Huge delays when placing orders IB

You guys are running on a verified, realtime operating system, right ? That would be Linux, Unix, or Windows Server 2003. If you are trading with Windows/XP, you are taking a huge risk unless it's been tuned for realtime processing. Trust me on this. I'm so scared of Windows/XP and all of...

For crying out loud IB ... please release TWS 876

Yeah, but why has the WORKSTATION version been lagging the BROWSER-BASED version lately ? That's kind of crazy given most traders are using the more reliable workstation version.

Congrats to Surf on knocking one out of the park. You covering tomorrow ?

Trader P/L 2007 Questions and Discussion

Look again. That was a huge RANGE day...with a mombo rally in the afternoon. And this occurred right after a huge RANGE day down in the prior session. He was short all afternoon. Trust me on this. The guy is making CONSISTENTLY 1 tick per contract. Sounds like little, but try and write a...

    The Surf Report

I'm getting a bit dizzy from these "whipsaw" moves. Still, 13k-even support is holding-up beautifully....so far (key words).

    The Surf Report

Surf will possibly be right on the YM long.....but it depends on the 13,000 level holding here. We're only 40-some points from that level. It could take off northward from here if it holds. Big IF however.

    The Surf Report

But Surf, we all know that it cannot last....I mean the Fed's moves will likely be disappointing....as they can't keep letting the US dollar crash. At best, we are headed for stag-flation.....hi PE ratios do not thrive in that environment. 13k - even remains a huge support level that once...

Open E Cry what a disappointment!

OMIGOSH : entire CME server = ONLY ONE ? No back-up ? CME connection = ONLY ONE ? No alternate ? WOW - these guys are running cheap....with no redundancy for such critical data.

Apple iPhone owners, to put it mildly, are ticked off.

The fact that Jobs was never "dinged" for the stock option backdating at Apple is simply amazing. "Only in America"

We can't seem to get things going....it's a shame. Everyone should be doing well with these great market moves. (unless, of course, you are on the wrong side and forgot your stops !)

When YOUR job is shipped abroad...

This has been occurring for the past 7-8 years. Have you asked yourself or other "experts" in the field, why, after all of this time, this outsourcing hasn't affected OTHER professional fields much at all...like accounting, law, medicine ? Also, are you aware that government-related jobs have...

    Maria Sharapova

Maria played like Sh...t. However, there was a critical bad call in that second-to-last set where Maria tried to challenge a line call....and the umpire would not allow it. On replay, the ball was out, and Maria would have won the challenge. Had she won that set, it was all over. Still, her...

Who wants to program my Profitable Trading System?

If it's taking him this long just to outline and explain the strategy, can you imagine how long this will take to design, code, and then test ? Could be months....many months. Maybe he could outsource this and save some bucks, but then again, perhaps the communication wouldn't be perfect and...

    YHOO, failed business model?

Exactly....all under the guidance (or lack thereof) of Terry Semel. He was so bad. Second only to the ever-so-awful Ed Zander....a turkey at Sun Micro, and so proven as a turkey at Motorola. Amerian is so lacking any decent corporate leadership. We're doomed. Dow at 0k. zilch. zero. zip.

    Marc Cuban on Day Trading

I'd be willing to bet, he tried it, and lost. Still, for a longer term trader, he's pretty impressive. Before he sold his business, he was very active in the market. I remember emailing him regarding something he said...that was about 8 years ago.

I dunno....Maria's a little "light" on top. Maybe she needs Jelena's treatment.

    Maria Sharapova

She is sweet, but it's a close call with Maria. All my old frat brothers say "You're a perv" for galking at these tennis beauties....but what the heck, it sure beats the days of Steffi and Billy Jean.

    The Surf Report

Once again, Here's to you Surf for hanging in there when the pain was all around you. Conviction, a huge part of successful trading. Consumer confidence down = forget those trendy retailers. They're finished. Economy's going "back to basics". Probably for the next decade.
