Intelligent Design struck down in Federal Court

The typical thing about evolution scientists is their religious devotion to the theory. Peter Atkins: “a great deal of the universe does not need any explanation. Elephants for instance. Once molecules have learnt to compete and to create other molecules in their own image, elephants, and...

    IB or Oanda or ????

TGM, Thnks for your points about IB. I tried it when they first offered forex and found it too thin but it sounds like they are getting more volume. I think the main point is that for example oanda may be market makers but they offer close spreads and generally do not let the spread widen on...

How many pips/week is "Killing it" in FX?

Are you actually trading these or just looking at a chart. I run esignal forex and the spread on the INTERBANK was such that it never allowed for a 1.18970 short, let alone a typical broker who is shaving his extra pip or 3 profit. The green is the offer and red is bid.

How many pips/week is "Killing it" in FX?

Curious how you are catching those ticks right at the limit? My brokers- with their 3 pip spreads and usually a little wavering make it hard to time so exactly. Who is your broker?

How many pips/week is "Killing it" in FX?

If someone had a method that could REALLY take say 20pips a day then how many years would it be before they owned most of the worlds currency - given the power of compounding. Wonder why these soon to be muti-trillionaires are still working in an office:eek:

How many pips/week is "Killing it" in FX?

I wonder why the CTFC etc require a disclaimer saying that ""HYPOTHETICAL PERFORMANCE RESULTS HAVE MANY INHERENT LIMITATIONS, SOME OF WHICH ARE DESCRIBED BELOW. IN FACT, THERE ARE FREQUENTLY SHARP DIFFERENCES BETWEEN HYPOTHETICAL PERFORMANCE RESULTS AND THE ACTUAL RESULTS SUBSEQUENTLY ACHIEVED...

Intelligent Design struck down in Federal Court

Hell yes, I am serious. I am NOT asking for Christianity to replace Materialism in science education. In fact I am not a Christian and don't believe in a creator God. But I deplore the triumphalism of scientific materialism, and as it stands the Intelligent Design people are the only ones with...

    anyone use esignal's trading system

Having tried many canned strategies I doubt they work well- although I must admit to not bothering to test these offerings.

Intelligent Design struck down in Federal Court

I am 100% in agreement with ZZZZ here. What we have is two religions - Christianiaty and MaterialismB@In such a major cultural battle allowing one free reign to indoctrinate and forbidding the other is dangerously unfair.

    great new FX book!

One of the obvious advantages they give is trading with small size. If the average newbie with a tiny $10,000 account tries futures he will be destroyed within 6 months. At least the mini-accounts of forex brokers allow the newbie lots of chances to experience real trading. Now the fact that...

    great new FX book!

What has happened over the three years that I have been trading forex is that the spreads have come down. There was even a few rosy months when stops were guaranteed- now revoked by all the big forex dealers. I have funded accounts with 4 forex brokers including IB and they all have some...

    great new FX book!

I just read the chapter. It does have a bit of a promotional feel to it. In the section comparing stock trading with forex trading it says: peak. """Lower Transaction Costs The existence of much lower transaction costs also makes the FX market particularly attractive. In the equities...

Is Fx trading the hardest instrument?

I began in stocks, moved to forex 3 years ago, then tried futures for a year, then was a prop. trader in stocks and now moved back to forex. I like forex because it needs both fundamental and technical data to trade well. The scalibility and liquidity and 24 hour markets suit me too. I use...

    the basic flaws in TA

It does if you are talking with cult members who feel threatened by any doubts about their path to happiness. They are all sure TA works: the fact that if it did they would all be multi-billionaries within a year (even if it just gave a small but genuine edge), and yet that they are not does...
