U.S. Mint suspends sales of almost all gold and silver coins

Worked out great. Before we left the gold standard a man could earn enough money to support his wife and kids. Today, a man & a wife both working can barely pay their mortgage even without kids. I shudder to think what would happen in another 30 years or so.

I want to stand on top of that condo and jump off each ledge into every swimming pool all the way to the bottom! :D

The Family: Secret Right Wing Religious Group

A little strange. Its funny when people see someone that calls themselves a Christian doing something wrong, they just flip out and try to point out that all Christians are like that. I mean, there will always some Christians that live pretty decent moral lives, then do one or two things...

Teachers making $4,000,000 per year in S. Korea

Agree. I blame it partially on the dual income households. They sub-contract out parenting to the day cares and the kid only gets to see his parents for 2 hours per day. Cant really get any quality parenting done in that time. Then i love the excuse the parents give for doing this. They...

U.S. Mint suspends sales of almost all gold and silver coins

    1) The fed creates dollars in their lab and they have been diluting our money for decades. So that argument means nothing. 2) Countries store dollars in their vaults. Same thing as your secular demands argument 3) inflation didnt really exist until we starting using currency. Sure you...

I am puzzled really, Why are people still debating economics, things are clear

Simple. King Obama told them that the economy is recovering and gave them another glass of kool-aid.

Will this end well? (poll incoming)

I think sometime between now and 2012 we are going to have hyperinflation. At some point it will look like green shoots. Home values will rise, wages will rise(slower than everything else), and consumer goods will rise. A 200k home will be worth 500k by 2012 and a loaf of bread will cost 10...

Is bad credit a character flaw?

How can you be bad at managing money and have alot of it? To me, someone that lives paycheck to paycheck is bad at managing his money, i dont care if he has an 800 credit score or not. If you have no cash in the bank, you are bad at managing your money. And why do people think that only...

Is bad credit a character flaw?

Oh yeah, bad credit is a character flaw! Let me tell you my personal experience. I rolled into California a few years ago and first thing I did was look for a place to live. My credit wasnt totally shot, but i had a judgement against me some years ago (that was paid). I went to a nice...

Obama mulls rental option for homeowners

Normally when a country is getting all crazy like that, they shut the borders. Obama cant really do that without the rest of the world seeing him as a dictator. So he does the next best thing. He tries to get all american owned foreign bank accounts. Thats actually a scary thing if ByLo...

If the economy is recovering, why are GS execs selling?

whoa whoa whoa...these were not traders off the street. These are ivy league graduates who are supposed to be the smartest guys in the room. The fact that they were dumping speaks volumes. They were selling their shares at record prices while trying to get as many people as possible to buy...
