with trade through rule...how does this happen??

Were you the one that got filled? How do you know it wasnt a crossing network that trades blocks? I was under the impression all crossing networks print as NASD (D at swift) so unless you saw the trades get filled on ISLD/BTRD/BRUT/MILN, is it possible to know they were regular ecns that filled?

    NASDAQ Single Book vs ARCA

I dont trade nasdaq hardly ever so i may be wrong, but doesnt ARCA not follow the uptick rule? If this is true, will the fills not be better on ARCA because traders will be looking to short non-sho stocks on ARCA, and other traders will want the quicker fills on the bid due to said short sellers?

I have to move my apt today and tommorow, so no blotter tommorow. I thought I would come in this morning for an hour and make enough maybe to pay for the truck this morning (370 bucks) but instead my platform has no NYSE or ARCA prints, and I got hammered on some bad decisions... why did i come...

    Trader P/L 2006

Great first 5 minutes, made 85% of my dough, then proceeded to suck, shafting myself on the Fed. There was a lot of potential money on those moves i thought.

    a question about Swifttrade

Also, there are so many other factors to consider when trying to decide where to trade. Thats the nice thing about the industry in Canada these days. Your not stuck with 1-2 options, there are plenty. As for other factors, you have to consider Buying power, Leveraged deposit or full prop...

Trader P/L 2006 Questions and Discussion

Thanks madmunny. Eventually as a trader i believe you come to the realization that it is not software and color schemes that make you money, its your brain. Steve Tvardek is going to prove that in the P/L thread in the coming months as well.
