Today I did exactly what not to do to be successful at trading. First red day in about 25 sessions. Couldnt really make anything early, then got down and brain damaged my mood. Kept thinking "one good one and your right back in it!" and would just get dinked for $20 more and $40 more...

I felt i actually traded fairly well given the low volume I experienced. Made some in GM that helped too.

I would guess that if they are offering higher than 4:1 AND protecting your money under whatever the acronym is (spic? something like that), they are breaking rules. Prop LLC's share the risk but if you put 10k and get 100k bp and protect your money under retail laws thats not fair and deserves...

From this situation (not alone, just confirmed) i believe trading firms are a lot like trades, risk vs reward. The highest reward firms (best payout fees etc) can also be the most risky (getting paid). If you want it done right, you have to do it yourself or go with a professional thats...

Why dont you just open a prop account somewhere, get leveraged (if you want) and contract out any programming you need. I dont understand what the point of what your doing is.

3 months i would say is best case scenario. its normally 4-6 to graduate, and at least 6 to make enough to live off of. You dont need to know anything, you will learn it all while you are there, whether its form the intro provided by the BM, or your expected hours and hours of research...
