    Doesn't anyone remember 2000?

Oh, dont get me wrong, you're actually right. I'm just trying to put another spin on it. We had a huge bubble back in 2000. This time we might be rewriting the story a little bit. Going to be interesting regardless. GL to ya.

Funny you mention that. Trendlines aren't always all they're cracked up to be.There's no psychological meaning behind them. refer here.... http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=116853&highlight=trendline

Dollar index near the top of the bubble was what? 120. Come down quite a bit since then. In addition, I don't think P/E's mean a whole lot. :( Who's going to pay a premium when earnings are flat to neg.?

Trendlines...fact or fiction. Actually it's both.

They're self-fulfilling and either work or they don't. Because of this they ARE tradeable. With that said unless someone here can state some odd psychological thought process that develops a trendline, I don't buy it as truly tangible. Tradeable??? Of course and a decent tool...

This site needs to stop it with this bull/bear crap

I've done it myself (only to state reality of what markets can do), however I now realize how unbelievably annoying it is. Are we here to trade or are we here to shout and scream every second the market sneezes in one direction. Seriously...leave that shit for CNBC.

    Stop Losses are for Losers

Surf..We're talking daytrading correct? I mean seriously. I've put a stop (and trailed them) on nearly every trade I made for the past 3 months (never used to be the case) and I've never looking back. I know EXACTLY where I want out and i'm not going to sit there and watch the damn position...

    Stop Losses are for Losers

Ok, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're talking about two different things. HOWEVER, to say that stops are for losers and they're illogical shows you really have no idea what you're doing. If you THINK you do.....you seriously need to reassess your strategy...

    Stop Losses are for Losers

What? Your goal is for the stop NOT to get hit. If it gets hit, 9 times out of 10 it's going to help you. If you can define risk in a market why not put a pre-defined stop there? In addition, what's wrong with a trailing stop? This post has to be one of the "random thought" posts...

How does one move beyond technical analysis?

Market profile is starting to become the next bubble. Besides assessing time, I don't think it's really the "golden egg". Simple analysis of market S&R and even volume by price (although it's very difficult to find someone offering this) is good too. Market S&R evolves day after day and I...

Housing doom and gloom - ENOUGH already !!

Wow...you and I are going to have to agree on something. What the hell has this world come to? The cycles are so long that most people forget it's a cyclical market.
