Which trading s/w provides the most realistic simulator?

Button Trader is centered around DOM trading but that's not my style so I don't know what chart support it has. Ninja is fully featured for simulated trading for free, apparently forever. I'm something of a nerd - I've tried almost every IB front end there is. I've even written a couple...

    Encryption software for your computer

Encrypted volumes such as those in truecrypt are mounted as drive letters in Windoze. You can install apps into directories on the encrypted volume, though I'm not sure why you'd do that. Encryption is usually for data, not programs.

Which trading s/w provides the most realistic simulator?

Depends on what you're after. I actually like NinjaTrader, but it's a little pricey and you may be getting features you don't want or need. (i.e. Charts and autotrading script support) Bracket Trader, QuoteTracker and IB TWS together work pretty well. Bracket Trader has configurable...

Which countries have low taxes and have balanced budgets?

Look, you know what I mean, so quit wrapping yourself in the flag. I have yet to meet a fellow American that's not disgusted with the way things are being run. What's truly upsetting is that electing either party seems to have no effect on deficit spending. And it would be "you're" not...

Which countries have low taxes and have balanced budgets?

Norway particularly would worry me with their heavy reliance on oil. I haven't heard any mention of their suffering from "dutch disease" i.e. a decline in the manufacturing sector due to the riches of discovering a vast natural resource. I guess Russia would suffer from that too potentially...

Market cap info on major sites often not accurate. Why?

I've noticed data inconsistencies like this as well. I've used float in my filtering in the past and saw widely variations among the various free and paid sources.

    Encryption software for your computer

truecrypt.org I use it all the time. It's free and very, very good. As of version 5.0, you can even do whole disk encryption. That was something you used to have to pay for.

Which countries have low taxes and have balanced budgets?

I guess I was wondering more along the lines of the balanced budget issue. I'm an engineer, not an economist, but I wonder if any countries really run a balanced budget any more. I finished Grennspan's book recently and his observations about the shift from gold based currency to fiat...

Which countries have low taxes and have balanced budgets?

Inquiring minds want to know. I've become so disgusted with my own country that I assume everyone else is the same.

Do you wear a seatbelt when you drive?

Ouch. Pussies? Trading profitably means taking risks for potential rewards. But doing it long-term involves controlling and reducing risk, not betting the bank on the roulette wheel. Wearing seat belts controls risk. If you want to thumb your nose at "the man" there are hundreds of ways...

Do you wear a seatbelt when you drive?

The original question was "do you wear seat belts", not "do you agree with laws mandating seat belt use". I wear them and can't understand the mentality of not wearing them. BUT, I totally disagree with laws mandating that the driver wear them. I also disagree with mandatory motorcycle...

Do you wear a seatbelt when you drive?

I grew up wearing seat belts religiously. Heck, we even had a plastic Jesus on the steel dashboard. It's like breathing. My seat belt is just on and I don't give it a second thought.
