He needs to incorporate some sort of volatility measure and then correlate that measure to the number of points to assign to the stop loss order. This will take some back-testing. Using tight stops on a day like Friday is just begging for a low win rate.

Yeah, but we didn't close at LOD's, so there's something positive. Next week should be good with rebalancing, shortened trading week and US payroll reports on Thursday.

Guys - watch-out for the speed today. One of my market orders to buy-to-cover didn't get filled for 1600 ticks/trades this morning. I've never seen that delay before. This was NQ when the market was tanking. Likely all of the bids in the order book near the market were pulled after I went short.

What does account size have to do with anything ? He's tons smarter than you are. Only stupid Ppl.....as I want to see the stats. Showing only PNL is like only showing his big swinging dick. F-that. This thread should be renamed to the "Hooray for Hilmi" thread.

No Dude, you are wrong....I can confirm that he trades with real money. What's wasted energy is this thread without any trading stats : Avg Win Rate ? Avg # of trades per day ? Avg winning trade amt in points ? Avg losing trade amt in points ? Avg Winning Days percentage ?

As we wait for the closing drama to complete itself for today, I'll update you on the crude oil (CL) market. Price action has wild and crazy....no surprise there, in this, the most manipulated market of all. This week, the price ran up to $41 plus and took out the gap-down from March. That was...

He already stated that his daily loss is like 30-60% of accumulated profits. That comes out to $20-$40k....insane IMHO. Should be around $10k or 10% of account balance.

Wow, the "Wall of Worriers" are really impressive today....completely blowing-off all bad virus news, the Texas news, and including the Disney news, the Apple news... and so on. Nothing seems to be able to drop this market.

I see that. Double bottom around 3:30 am and then a 45 pt move up. Nice ! I just wonder if I should sleep from 8 pm till 2 am and then stay up for the overnight session....then take nap during the lunchtime lull.

That is what I was mentioning....revenge trading can cause that. I guess it's OK to revenge-trade, but you gotta stop when you hit daily max loss limit.

Another take is that Tuesday's afternoon's swoon converted all of the daily charts from bullish candlesticks to doji's. That was kind of ominous.

Ah, I didn't realize that..didn't read the whole thread. Well then, all he has to do is incorporate a daily loss limit....either a fixed amount or a percentage of his account balance. One problem he could having: if he starts losing for the day, he keeps trying to come back to profitability with...

No way....Hilmi has shown us his statements and they look real. His statement about his ability to trade based on his gaming experience was likely a ruse. However, there is precedent here with a trader who was also a great gamer....his name was Navinder Sarao. Look-up "Flash Crash" on...
