    Yet another DOJI bearish candlestick

Exactly...this market is so frothy, it has rabies. When it ends, it will be ugly.

Trend Follower John Henry Assets Drop 80% In Year!!!

I have Robbin's tapes....and he mentions it in detail. At one point JWH couldn't even go to his office, he was so bummed-out. And no, it WAS for trading issues....specifically his fund performance. Every trade was turning to mush....and driving him crazy.

yet another IB PROBLEM - ORDERS

Chewy - it's interesting to note that other competitive brokers are not even offering an API to smaller retail customers. (I wonder why not ? ) ThinkorSwim is trying hard, but they've got certain "mandates" and "policies" that make them less attractive than IB. For example, their API offering is...

Trend Follower John Henry Assets Drop 80% In Year!!!

John Henry was in trouble years ago and the fact he went to Tony Robbins for advice was so "telling". Henry thought he himself was the problem, when in fact it was his approach. His recent results (past 3 years) confirm this. Bottomline: a shrink won't help you if you are trading with a...

tick by tick with Interactive brokers

IB's API version 9.2 (beta) has a powerful new feature that effectively provides tick-by-tick data as long as you can withstand a 5 second delay. If your average time-in-trade is less than twice that, forget it. Otherwise, check it out.

yet another IB PROBLEM - ORDERS

Look guys...IB is the McDonalds of retail trading.....and they try pretty hard. They are running very lean and mean....I mean I think there is ONE GUY doing the entire API coding. Their low cost structure result in low fees and that makes them very attractive. However, there are these "glitches"...

6:1 margin for overnight stock positions at InteractiveBrokers

ALL SEC RULES have had nothing but a negative effect for the small trader. I don't "get it"...why should there be a minimum for portfolio margining ?

NAR Forecasts 1st Drop In Housing Prices Since 1968 - Actual Numbers Are Much Worse

Interesting. According to Zillow, we're "down" 30% in home value over the past year. Neighbors recently put their house on the market, only to receive nothing but scoffs and criticism at open houses. No bids. They decided to reject a job offer and stay instead....they would have lost much money...

IB and ToS.. for easy interface?

No doubt about it. High reliability as well....feed glitches are rare and the platform has never gone down.

My Experience at a Prop Firm

EXACTLY. Why ? Much fewer traders = lower profitability, closer to the "breakeven" point. It's ALL ABOUT THE MONEY. Recent posts on this forum looking for prop firms supporting futures and automated systems just says it all....there's few out there....very few. Again, the reason ? Those...

Ok then, I'll just account for an extra 30 minutes to get in and park.....I have to admit, it is a GREAT location. Will someone suggest a DATE and TIME then ?

    Delaware & Philadelphia

Would be a great idea....however, I was there 2 weeks ago: 1) took 15 minutes to get into Manayunk from the expressway 2) took 20 minutes to find some parking. And that was a weekday night ! I can't imagine a Friday or Saturday night...it's gotta be nuts then.

    MS Office alternatives?

Well, I checked-in with them....and they are simply overwhelmed by the whole project, despite having an agreement with Microsoft. Look, Guys....Office is complex. Excel alone is UNBELIEVABLY complex...it possibly is the most complex piece of software ever developed when you consider it's...
