OEC is $0.50 per side + fees (which are $0.06 I think) for M6E. I'm sure 6E is more liquid and better to trade, but M6E makes me feel more comfortable with my small account, and I can pyramid positions must easier and without stress.

What I was trying to say tho is that someone with $5k is forced into using 1:9 leverage with futures. Someone with $5k cannot trade with 1:1 leverage on futures. I consider that a disadvantage. (unless he lives in Australia and can use that broker that offers micro index futures @ 1/10...

You know, I must have been looking at the wrong hours or something for 6E because I'm checking it now and you're right, the volume is around the range you listed. I just think I'm used to the ES where it does that much volume in a minute :D The spread on M6E still sucks tho.

i thought more people went from equities to futures. disadvantages of futures: -you're forced to use a certain leverage (eg. the lowest amount an ES tick can be is $12.50.) advantages of futures: -easier to do taxes -no pdt rule -preferential tax treatment -no wash sales

The spread on M6EM9 (micro Euro FX) right now at 12:30pm CST is 7 ticks. wtf? Might as well be trading frozen orange juice. Also, I was comparing it against the normal 6E, and the volume on that is super low, too. I thought currency futures had good volume :confused:
