Chances of stock price hitting strike price

There are a bunch of free web-based probability calculators. This one is fairly simple but will tells you what you want: http://www.optionstrategist.com/calculators/probability The one thing you'll have to find out about the stock is its volatility. TradeKing has a slightly nicer one...

2 stories that signal top of rental and housing bubble

Echoing an earlier post, both examples are outliers. Real estate is by its nature a regional thing. When things went to crap in 2008 there were regions in the US that had only mild corrections while other regions got creamed. NYC is never a good example for typical markets for literally...

Are you a renter? It won’t get better any time soon

Well I'm not a slumlord renting to trash. I've had 2 different tenants and they were both clean, steadily employed and punctual rent payers. I guess it's only a matter of time before I'm faced with doing an eviction.

Are you a renter? It won’t get better any time soon

Problem with trading 1 contract only

Trading with 1 contract really limits your flexibility doesn't it? With 2 contracts you could cover 1, leave your stop in place and wait for the other to pan out (or not). The real question is why would you enter with a target beyond an obvious support level? Sounds like your prognosis of...

    Quick question about news

US home sales: if home sales are strong it's good for the USD. So if home sales are better than forecast then the USD will be stronger than the GBP, so GBP/USD goes down.

    Quick question about news

forexfactory has good information about specific news items like this. In this case, an announcement indicating a budget surplus is good for the currency, and a deficit is bad. Good for GBP means GBP/USD goes up. BTW trading news events is very hard since the increased volatility widens the...
