Stop Orders And Stop Limit Orders

I love stop limit orders, but only for entry. For exit I only use stops. Sometimes I miss out on entries due to fast market movement, but you can't win them all. For getting out, I don't want to risk taking a bath with a stop limit. I'd rather just get out, slippage be damned.

    Trading and Job

The YMCA gym I go to near my house is in a little store front in a strip mall. The folks who work behind the counter are generally rural locals and college kids who play solitaire and surf Facebook on the computer. Other than the rare occasion of signing up new members or showing someone how...

brokers' monitoring of customers' trading patterns

Unless it was something obvious, it would be very hard to reverse-engineer someone's trading strategy from their buy/sell activity. How do you even know that the high-performing trader you're looking at even has a "system" per se? S/he could be reading tea leaves and simply be very lucky and...

    Oil hypocrisy

I live in the Washington DC area (read: lots of traffic) and I haven't observed any change in driving habits. 1) Hummers, Tundras, Expeditions, etc with no passengers. 2) Still driving 80 in a 55. 3) Still parked with the engine running to run the air conditioning. Gas is still dirt...

How predictive is volume to index futures?

I'm actually somewhat familiar with XML and find it useful in my day j. o. b. QuoteTracker is a basically good application and a good value to boot. I think that the paintbar feature is extremely useful and I use it to highlight inside bars and NR7 bars for low risk entries.
