"One of History's Greatest Financial Crises"

He acted too early. Keynesian measures are more effective to implement once the system has already cleaned out the inefficiencies. But now, he cut the rates to try to cover up the problems, and he made it all much worse, the way things are now he risks people losing confidence in the central...

"One of History's Greatest Financial Crises"

This crash is a whole new creature. We are taking keynessian measures before the crash. This hasn't been tried to such a large extend before. But the experience in the 1970's and from places like Bolivia, Zimbawe, and Argentina... make it seem like it's not such a good idea. Bernanke's...

Fed couldn't wait 40 hours to cut discount rate?

Yes, such a move would be incredibly complicated though... In a Cournott Nash universe they could pull it off... everyone would just do what's best for everyone as a group... collaboration, wonderfull thing. However, you only need one country to go Bertrand on the US... and they would...

    Now vs 1907 Bank Panic?

And he had been king for a day Richard Wyckoff will later write about this too... "The famous Jesse Livermore used to trade solely on what the tape told him, closing out every-thing before the close of the market. He traded from an office and paid the regular commissions, yet three...

Over 75 years ago Wall Street Crashed; but today the New Crash is already underway...

    1. You can observe Moore's law throughout human history, technology has always grown exponentially. We had huge leaps in innovation during the Victorian era and the early 1900's. The function grows exponentially despite fiat money, not thanks to it. Technology is a wonderfull field because...

Over 75 years ago Wall Street Crashed; but today the New Crash is already underway...

Hence the question: can the FED, SEC and all the other organisms that were created after the 29 crash prevent such a crash from happening again? If the answer is no [as it appears to be]. Then what good are those organisms? The only thing they've managed to do is build an illusion of...

My way of fighting the fed, I cannot sit still anymore

What happens if the FED provides all the liquidity that banks ask for. But the problems don't go away? So far, that's been the case with this market. The FED thinks it can change things by throwing money at the problem. But the emergency rate cut was only good for getting the market to...

Why do I see "Trends" in Randomly Generated Data?

Market data is not random. If you want to see truly random data please look at the test symbols, ZVZZT, ZXZZT, etc... those print at random prices, one print comes at 5000 the next at 12.98 then 1500 then 4000... there's absolutely no patterns in this symbols as there is no money to be made...

My way of fighting the fed, I cannot sit still anymore

Bernanke is in a tight spot. He can't move towards a strict system because such a system requires a solid base or you get an Argentinazo... On the other hand, he can't keep going on the current direction or he'll land himself in 1990 japan, 1923 germany, 1970's nixon's states, or 1985 bolivia...

Hey Stock_Trad3r.... Wanna see a bull market? check out gold, euro, oil, or corn... basically anything that doesn't sink as fast as the USD... Today, that included the stock market. The dollar just took a dive, passed the market on the way down, and from your perspective the market went...

    Still not a bear market

Yeah, like a rate cut is going to get the bull market started... using rate cuts to fuel the economy is like using gasoline to put out a fire... dangerous business.
