how to manage false breakouts on NQ ES

He goes out on stops. Check out the first graph posted on the 3rd. You may see a little room on both sides of the trade for a little additional action as well. I like how he shoots for 200 bucks and misses a little and doesn't worry about it. One or two trades like he does evey day will be...

I have never seen a better trader than

The posts I just made will raise a question for the people at ET. The question is: How does a guy who says he's educated not know how much money he is making by any standard type of calculation? the corrollary: why does he set up rules to follow and break them to be able to say the...

I have never seen a better trader than

I wanted to learn from you. so i asked a few Q's. You replied that you had a job and three kids so you didn't have time for that stuff I asked about. rolegario filled in for you and let us know how it goes using your rules. You don't follow your rules as yet. I suggested about 6...

I have never seen a better trader than

As stated by rolegario on page 13 plus or minus: Posts: 62 05-30-03 10:18 AM Mr Market -- After having read through your stock picking model, one question sticks out. You clearly state in your model to "Buy this stock. In a typical bull market, the stock will, on average...

I have never seen a better trader than

As you suggest: I read it in a post in this thread as done by a person using a normal assessment method. I think at the time you missed it because of emotional stress and leaving the thread. I'll repost it if you can't find it. Mostly everyone in the thread agreed at the time of the post...

What lapse of discipline pisses you off the most?

I do strive for efficiency. Soooooo...lol.. I debrief and often notice loss of efficiency. Today I have two stocks below the 65 day av vol; meaning..lol... One did make me 3% but the other is a day (guess ...lol) away. The others are heart warming. 4 to 7 times av. so they are riding...

This guy holds loosers just so he can build a string that gives him his kicks. There is no capital involved in these efforts that he makes to speak of. It is a real commentary on his following rules as well. The curent ROI he is running is a little over 8% a year if he follows rules...

how to manage false breakouts on NQ ES

Do you like the KMX example today. Another tenured stock I have is SAPE. When anything is coming out of DU, you can bet on the impact of very few first trades to goose it. Then the herd rolls into the picture.

I agree. IF there is nothing wrong, don't fix it (exit). Just be glued to look for flaws that inevitably come up and end a trend. At that point protect you gains and end the risk you are now encountering. One of the least risky places to have capital is in a flawless trend.

He is a funny bird. If MM had slipped out of NFI, I would have rolled him into KMX yesterday. I was out of HO and rolling along a couple of days ago. LOL I hold SAPE too.

how to manage false breakouts on NQ ES

This is a good read. Lets say you are considering the substantive content as an add on. what you would do then, if you operated in an anticipatory manner, would be to see and understand what happens "before" a "volatility BO". Well what does happen? To save you a little time looking...

how to manage false breakouts on NQ ES

Larry and ditch, From what I have seen of people, going from the rookie level of trading to adopting more than one application of market tools for trades is a conscious change in operating. Most people never do. The vaste majority of people just use one strategy all the time. Because...

how to manage false breakouts on NQ ES

stocks and contracts has a few twists. You can follow the lead of your brokers on this in each kind of market. I had a fairly detailed call with my equities team because of the next few days coming up. I am going to be very active and I want them on the same page. I have voice recognition...

******Impending news is always worth a bracket set up and always, eeven though you may be using expert orientation, set up "outside" scalping. We can count on public reaction for sure. We do not have to bet on the direction. Next after the reaction the volume will not sustain the reaction...

How do you measure your performance?

Efficiency comes to mind occassionally for me. Other times I think about the standard of the setting in which I'm operating.
