Memo looks like a nothing burger... Read it here

Sound and fury accomplishing nothing. The assumption in this ridiculous memo is that the FBI investigated Carter Page solely because of the Steel dossier. (1) There was much more involved in their decision, and (2) Who the fuck cares? The only reason this exists is because republicans are...

    Daily goal

Quitting after hitting a daily target is the first sign that you're trading from a place of fear and don't have confidence in what you're doing. That's not a good place to be if you plan on surviving for the long term.

Do I pay taxes on earnings for the year even if total account is a loss?

Then you've created a problem for yourself. You should have been filing the loss each year, which would have likely created a carry-over to this year, and possibly even for a few more years. It's possible that you can file amended returns for previous years. But you'll need to address that...

Do I pay taxes on earnings for the year even if total account is a loss?

Have you claimed losses in the previous years? If so, then you should have loss carry-overs to offset your gain from this year.

I always seem to sell too early.

You must systematize the level at which you take a profit - or accept a loss - and have the confidence to let the trade run to those levels. Backtesting Question

I'll save you a few thousand hours with the following: 1. Focus on one or two instruments. Get to know them. Understand why they move, when, and how. 2. You won't find success just throwing indicators at a list of stocks. A waste of your time. 3. You must have a logic to your trading. If...

Buy the Rumor, sell the News...

What I am referring to here, kids, is the long held rumor of a major corporate tax cut. Markets rise based on expectations. The actual even is often a trigger for many to pull the plug. Thus...in my experience "Buy the rumor but sell the news" has proven in many cases to be right on the money.
