    End of All Bear Markets?

I still have some of my puts. It's a bit of a pyrrhic victory though given the battering I took in Feb. Timing is everything.

    End of All Bear Markets?

Yes, I know we had a fast bear market in Q4 2018. But it seems like CBs worldwide learned this lesson and now preventing another one from every happening again... This is so against the nature and cycles of markets...

    End of All Bear Markets?

So December 2018 and Jan 2019 I was doing well. Then in February, I had the stupid idea that we might be topping and started buying puts. I gave back all of my gains. Stocks that gapped down reverted and headed higher. I thought shorting(indirectly via puts) a downward trending stocks would be...

Is it time to throw in the towel?

I wished it was that simple. I have guaranteed six figures income before taxes. The work is interesting and I utilize a lot of different marketable skillsets. If I were to commit to trading ft then it needs to be 7 figures to make sense. Else it's just too risky. To give up a good paying job...

Is it time to throw in the towel?

I'm approaching the point where my work is interfering with me making money. LOL. I thought I would never say this. Since I mainly only trade an hour in the morning, I have to cut my positions holding time short thus curtailing the profit potential. Or if I hold longer and I'm in a work meeting...

Made a lot of progress, but feel like there's so much more to go...

Another update. This week has been tough! I gave back a lot of gains and some! A lot of learning experience. In December and January, I was trading options actively and was on a nonstop winning streak. But this week I made a series of clerical mistakes on Robinhood and also I traded stuff with...

I bought one already. That's why I was able to make the good returns lately. :) The monthly cost of the scanner is a pittance compared to the trades it has scanned and helped me identified. Obviously given an inexperienced trader the same scanner, I'm sure the results will not be the same...

Basically. It's pretty nice job that pays more than the bills. I think of things from a portfolio management point of view. My job is like bonds/fixed income instruments. Steady and sure. My trading is like higher risk asset classes. You need both in a portfolio. :)

Is it time to throw in the towel?

I would agreed with @fan27. Get a JOB!!! I started trading in 2001. I was in prop trading full-time from 2001-2003. Then went back to Corporate America. After that, I didn't want to trade anymore. I just focused on my career. Then I traded off and on on the side with stretches of many years not...
