Who else thinks a Correction or CRASH may be coming? My top call #2 1/9/2021

I think we could pull back a bit by the end of the coming week but anyone predicting a crash right now is pissing into the wind and ignoring the current market environment.

How I'm Trading the Volatility: Live trades (Jan)

I bought SPXU at close with the expectation of holding until late next week.

Grayscale Holds Over 3% of Bitcoin, Sees Pension-Fund Interest

I understand the premium -- I trade GTBC in my IRA. It's not perfect but it works.

    Daily Chart Trading

I anticipate the close on the daily -- most likely, during the last couple minutes of trading, you're going to have a pretty good idea how it's going to close. Further, even if you don't, after hours trading may let you get in a position after the regular daily close.

    Long-short market neutral ETFs

At least some of the long-short funds use value-based criteria to determine potential stocks to buy or short. What one thing did you learn this year that helped you improve your intraday trades?

Valid point -- most TA tells you what has happened (and most technical analysts can only tell you what is happening now). When you can develop your TA in a way that allows you to forecast with probabilities, then you're cooking with gas.

What one thing did you learn this year that helped you improve your intraday trades?

3 Things (I know you asked for one): 1) Have a view as to whether the market is likely to finish up/down on the day to frame set-ups for intraday trades. 2) Identify potential areas of support / resistance both on daily and intraday charts in advance. 3) Post your ideas in a chat room to...

    On giving tips for beginners

To be successful in the financial markets, you need both a strategy edge and a mindset edge. If you don't have either of those, you need a marketing edge to sell everyone else on the idea that you have a strategy edge. :sneaky:

How I'm Trading the Volatility: Live trades (Jan)

That is where I am. Picking my spots on some short-term trades but not really crazy about anything right now -- that may change by mid-January.

has anyone use a trading psychologist?

Lots of wisdom in what Andrea and danielc1 said. The traders who dismiss the self-analysis / self-discovery work are usually the ones who need it the most. And like danielc1 said, usually their answer is more work / knowledge (but not self-knowledge) and they get stuck in an endless loop...

Studentofthemarkets: Take this as constructive feedback, but Pivotas is seeing the same thing I'm seeing. It might help if you stepped back and started working on bigger picture questions? Why are you trading? I mean, really -- why are you doing this? What are you trying to accomplish...

What are some techniques to get over the fear of making trades.

That is just sad. Like the quote says "everybody gets what they want out of the market." One thing I like to do periodically is read / listen to the first of the Zurich Axioms about risk.

Why TSLA is going up and why this could be a could in the horizon?

I know, right? I guess we don't need to lose sleep over TSLA in the S&P500.
