4425 was low -- close enough for government work!

If ES is going to hold, this would be a good place.

I don't know why this concept is so hard to understand. Crypto's "success" is what may also lead to its demise.

The low of day yesterday in S&P500 was a pretty good support level and even while I don't "love" the stock market right now, I can't argue with my "macro" fundamental indicators that continue to suggest "all is still OK." So will continue to lean long but if I like something better in the macro...

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

Definitely a tougher read here which was my reason for exiting at close yesterday (and my entry on Friday was based on daily chart so I typically hold for the duration in that case). Ended up buying some ETHE early afternoon, some of which I'm still holding, which looked better than S&P at the...

Just held UPRO all day and exited at close -- small profit but nothing too exciting. Should have just had limit orders 10 S&P points below Friday's close as that was the low I was looking for.

Still holding -- seems like the indexes are all cycling a bit differently today. Impressive reversal by the Russell. Some additional seasonal info (bigger picture) -- for what it's worth...

I do use the online version. I overlay the seasonal work with other seasonal data I get from Sentimentrader and other cycle work. Still view it as secondary to my other momentum-based analysis.

It is September but today had a bullish seasonal bias. Interesting that Russell sold off to support and then bounced pretty good. We'll see what happens!

Buy the dip, right? LOL! I was / am definitely biased more for S&P 500 today, though.

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

I went long S&P at close on Friday (UPRO) based on daily patterns and bullish seasonality. I didn't go all-in as I factored in the possibility of another 10 point drop on open but definitely favoring long side today.

News of the world isn't good yet market still holding up -- which is bullish. I have a core group of indicators that tell me if there is a fundamental problem in the markets -- not seeing anything yet.

Handling Gaps that go Against you -- trading strategies?

So you were long volatility and long CLOV? By holding, one worked out in your favor, one didn't? Am I correct?

Handling Gaps that go Against you -- trading strategies?

Don't get in trades that may gap against you! LOL! Can you give an example of a bad gap that you have had recently?

Let's get this straight, politicians are afraid of crypto. Crypto is not afraid of politicians.

I saw this video the other day and Tom's "one way trade" thesis made me realize people aren't thinking about this objectively. Again, I'm not anti-crytpo but you have to understand that this this can get shut down and there is no barrier to entry.

Yes, but politicians make the laws. I'm not anti-crypto -- I just think if you're not factoring in that the current cryptos will eventually be a threat to big government you're not being realistic. Who knows how this plays out but it's a risk that should be considered.

Game Over for Gamestop? GME down

Low was 178. This is just another example of trading the chart in front of you rather than reacting to the news and initial price movement.
