What do the tech savvy recommend for component parts of a new PC build or pre-built?

At least 32GB RAM would seem like a priority for you whether new or just upgrading. I assume you already have a Solid State Hard Drive.

    VectorVest v Stockcharts.com

Or maybe the better question is should it be a complimentary product? I use StockCharts too but I also use a number of other products / sources.

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

I'm still not bearish yet overall despite today's move -- which I didn't see coming and should have. The key is still small caps and whether they can get in gear.

I corrected my original post to say you were leaning BEARISH but you picked up on what I was saying. I think this is one of those "Denise Shull" or "Soros" moments where your intuition is kicking in but you might not be exactly sure how to process what you're feeling. On the flip side, one...

You always have some good insights -- so I'm wondering if your intuition is actually at play here. You say you're leaning bearish -- maybe because that seems logical -- but I'm wondering if your intuition is telling you something else? Just curious because your tone of engagement is different...

I was / am leaning bullish. In my view, smallcaps are the key. If Friday's lows hold, we might be in for a nice run up in the market over the next several days.

I'm going to mostly cash in Long-Term portfolio

Hard to say that was arbitrary when there were signs a correction of some sort was likely and you're assuming that we didn't get back into some stuff on Friday or over the weekend. And even if we didn't, market still below the point of exit. Goal is to make money and protect capital. All is well.

Props to qlai for his analysis and instincts!

I got out of TNA and GDX this morning. Being wrong is one thing, staying wrong is another. Maybe we have seen the lows, but I can't hold a position I know was wrong to begin with. I know some folks think this is over-reaction to news. However, it is reaction in primary momentum (the way I...

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

Part of the reason NDX may be holding up well relatively is so much of the major components of tech will do fine -- maybe even better -- in a Covid world. Admittedly, I had a little FOMO with taking some long positions on Wednesday and got a little too complacent in my analysis -- just didn't...

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

One of those days where you realize you made a mistake in your analysis. I had gotten concerned about the markets a couple of weeks ago but thought small caps had potentially corrected enough on Wednesday given the bullish seasonality but my weekly charts were on sell mode (which I failed to...

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

All this negativity and all we did on S&P and NDX is test the 20-day MA. I took position in TNA today as it tested the 50-day (also NUGT and GBTC). Breadth was stronger in the Nasdaq Comp compared to S&P / NDX so figured I would take a shot with the beaten-up small caps -- get ready for the...

I'm going to mostly cash in Long-Term portfolio

Too much binary thinking going on here. This isn't an all-or-nothing, permanent decision. Heck, you could have been out the market for one month from Feb 23 - March 23 in 2020 and been rewarded quite well. I understand what qlai is doing. I don't feel the need to keep my money in just to...

I'm going to mostly cash in Long-Term portfolio

You do you! I have a lot of mixed signals up here too. I was bullish up until a few days ago myself but I'm open to the possibility this may settle once again and then rip. The breadth is so bad right now that it's actually starting to look good -- meaning we're getting some pretty oversold...

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

Seriously -- this is really bad breadth right now. I'm just watching -- seeing if breadth gets so bad that it's good!

Just lots of momentum indicators not supporting this move -- once it got to a higher risk point yesterday I sold.

Will we ever find out who Satoshi Nakamoto is?

It's some combination of Craig Wright, Hal Finney & Dave Kleiman. But Hal & Dave are dead so may never know the exact way it all worked.
