How to scale/what to do next?

I'm not guessing. I'm using FundSeeder. I have 3 accounts on FS. One of the account I almost exclusively daytrade and the stats are decent. Though I agreed, swing trading is less stressful and more profitable.

How to scale/what to do next?

Swing trading has generate vastly more net profits. I think I should explore that more. And it's slower pace to match my day job and temperament. The problem with daytrading is that though my pattern setups are right(most of the time), it's too fast for me to react at times. But interesting...

How to scale/what to do next?

I'm thinking #1. But it can easily eat up 3-9months to fully automate everything. Maybe less if I get help. Most of my net profits have been from #2 on equities. Swing trading futures has resulted in one of my biggest losses. It's too scary to hold that many contracts overnight and many days...

How to scale/what to do next?

This is interesting. My Swing Trading net profits are much much higher than my daytrading profits. But my daytrading profits can smooth out the swing trading results. I would NEVER quit my dayjob. I have a really good job in terms of pay, intellectually interesting, and in a growing field...

How to scale/what to do next?

So, here's the deal. I think I'm finally a net positive trader. Both my swing trading and now my daytrading are net positive. Of course, there are down days. But overall I'm net positive, which is what Brett Steenbarger called a competent trader. You can overcome the overhead, commissions, data...

After using this trading simulator I'm convinced technical analysis simply doesn't work

Thanks for pointing out this website. It's cool and FUN game! I actually beat buy and hold on every single game I've played except for one. I only played 4 games. Perhaps if I played more then I will not continue to beat buy and hold. But it was nice to see validation of my trading methods. :)

    Trading on the CME

Congrats on getting into MES Capital. Interesting model. Did you get paid from your trading profits(50/50) on a weekly basis? Did they wire you the money to your bank account or send you a live check? Just curious. Thanks, trader99

    Beware of FuturesProfile

Interesting. If you don't mind what was your net P&L during the trial? Is there a cutoff? Like you have to make $10K+ or whatever to be considered during the 20 days trial period? I'm curious. Thanks, trader99

Dow could fall another 5000 points and still not be "cheap"

Dow could fall another 5000 points and still not be "cheap"

With headlines like this, we gotta be near a short-term bottom. And yep, the market continues to bounce up. Market pundits often miss turning points... http://www.marketwatch.com/story/look-out-stocks-might-fall-a-lot-further-2016-01-21

NinjaTrader Introduces Brokerage Services - $3.38 per round turn "all in"

Can I trade Rithmic through NT? In this link: http://ninjatrader.com/BuyPlatform Under Lease, I do NOT see Rithmic.. However, under NinjaBrokerage, I see Rithmic listed as a data provider: https://www.ninjatraderbrokerage.com/trading_platform/data_providers/rithmic I'm a bit confused...

    How was your 2015?

How do I judge success? 1. Did you beat the SP500? On 3 of my 4 accounts I beat the S&P500. On one of them I trail miserably! :( 2. Did you beat opportunity cost (day job)? NO! I get paid very well in a senior role at a tech company. Not by a far margin. Perhaps this year, I'll get close to...

    Prop Firm Proposal

Reflecting back on 2015, it was a wild but generally positive ride. I learnt a great deal and conquered a bit of my old demons. Slowly chipping it away. Now, that I can do consistently(not necessarily everyday but more often than not) a few hundred bucks. That amount seems so small. Because...

    Prop Firm Proposal

Happy Holidays ET! Just a quick yearend update! Since I last wrote on this back in Sept, a lot has changed and improved. My daytrading P&L is now much better than before. It's a combination of BOTH equities AND futures! I'm trading multiple accounts with different strategies. This is all on IB...

    Beware of FuturesProfile

Hmm.. Maybe what you are saying is true. But as far as the website is concerned, I don't see anything scammy. This is the latest iteration of their website: http://www.mescapitalgroup.com/ Has anyone tried them out? No capital contribution. Sounds fair enough. What I'm more curious is has...

    Henry Hub Nat Gas Futures

I'm getting fcked right now in NG. I was long too many contracts(relative to my account). I got out half of most it. But still held on some and this some is still killing me. Dec'15 contract expires next Friday. I need a miracle at this stage. If not I'll bite the bullet and sell at these low...

Remote Prop Firms and Trading Capital

Yea. I saw that too. A while back it was 50% then their website switch to 30% and now it's back to 50%. haha. Maverick has always argued that prop(which this is of a sorts) doesn't make sense in you have adequate capital in your PA. I have more capital now in my IB account then what they are...

Remote Prop Firms and Trading Capital

I don't know. It seems pretty fair. It starts at 50%. Don't know what the rules are. But nothing as complicated as passing combines, etc. All you need to do is generate 5%-10% on 25K during your demo month. That's like $2500. On futures, that's not too hard. I haven't tried it out but does look...
