Brilliant statements from the threads. Top 10 list. And do we need more?

No need for all that modesty. We all know that RN knows his stuff!! It's not the words themselves. ex-Marine, so tough enough! It's just that if one can't voice his opinion without a personal attack, his opinion is usually worthless, and just clutters up an enjoyable thread.

Do large banks and institutions use TA to profit?

So say that some or even all banks, hedge funds or whatever use TA in one form or another. Does the fact that they swing a bigger bat than we do automatically make them the world's experts on TA? They, and security analysts can have access to fundamental information that's not available to...

I sent a notice about this in Feedback before. So Baron is aware of the problem. Some Alerts and Mail Notifications aren't received I've noticed lately that replies to threads to which I've subscribed are not being shown in Alerts and no email is received. For example, yesterday I saw that...

Do large banks and institutions use TA to profit?

Exactly! 35 years ago when I was hired as a technical analyst at an international investment bank the boss said FA tells you what to buy and TA tells you when and when not to buy. Quit after I realized the the job was really just that of a salesman with a fancy title. Also I believed, and still...

The authors of "The Bible of Technical Analysis" and review of the "Bible".

Yes, go with the 6th. The guy who got the rights to the book after the authors died started to ruin the book from the 7th edition .

Trading the Nikkei 225 (/NDK) on AmeriTrade

I IB. Just looked at your profile page. At 19 years old I imagine you meant 100 contracts of the Mini, as the margin for the Large would be $580,000 on OSE.

Trading the Nikkei 225 (/NDK) on AmeriTrade

Yes, there would be no problem on OSE with either the Large or Mini. The volume in the U.S. would be significantly less

Trading the Nikkei 225 (/NDK) on AmeriTrade

I trade it every day on OSE There are normally 200 to 1200+ contracts at every price level(now fewer with the current volatility). There is never more than 1 tick between Best Bid 1 and Best Ask 1.

    It's Been Fun

Haven't really thought this through, but I'm sure we all agree that everyone has the right to voice his/her opinion here. The problem lies in the counter opinions of the "You don't know your ass from a hole in the ground" type that fuel the fire and lead to further personal attacks, resulting in...
