Traders trade emotions :They don't trade methods

But if you follow the zigzag path through the mountains and valleys, your delusions will turn into reality as you reach the Temple of The Trend, where a significant economic gain will be yours!

Traders trade emotions :They don't trade methods

Don't jest. How could you make money on what you believe is nothing more than an illusion?

Traders trade emotions :They don't trade methods

Yeah, I fell into that trap. And for 40 years I've been trading the trend, the whole trend, and nothing but the trend. What a fool I've been!!

Traders trade emotions :They don't trade methods

Traders get emotional because they can't read the trend. Thus trends exist. One of the world's greatest traders once said: "Trends will always exist in the markets as long as there are people who cannot read them."

The TREND is your friend.. The biggest lie ever!

Chop?? A trend that cannot be read, or is misread, due to a lack of ability, is what the trader calls......'Chop'. The above charts are no more chop than they are chop suey! If that can't be seen, back to TA 101.

    Pareidolia

If someone is less than efficient in using TA and has an imagined perception of a pattern or meaning where one does not actually exist, I just learned today that the term for this is 'pareidolia'. Pareidolia, sounds like the name of a disease that's all too easy to catch! If there are any...

Mental block due to trading Mentor passing away...unable to trade

No, I was serious. He lost his crutch and can't walk without it. So he could try to duplicate the situation under which he was comfortable as close as possible, and continue doing so until the problem is solved. A form of image training.

Mental block due to trading Mentor passing away...unable to trade

If you can't live without him, get a big picture of him and put it in his chair. When you see a potential trade ask him what you should do and do what he tells you.

Anyone traded the Mini-Nikkei 225 MJNK Osaka - Japan (JPX)

If that's your style fine. I only mentioned not holding overnight as 99% of the individual traders here avoid doing so, with one of the main reasons being the effect other markets have on the Nikkei.

Anyone traded the Mini-Nikkei 225 MJNK Osaka - Japan (JPX)

I imagine you've found that the Mini has contracts for every month. but only Mar.,June,Sept. and Dec are actively traded. Sometimes surprising economic data from China, usually released between 10:00 and 11:00, can cause spikes in the Nikkei. And this being Japan, make sure your Earthquake...

Anyone traded the Mini-Nikkei 225 MJNK Osaka - Japan (JPX)

It may go without saying but don't hold overnight as it almost always gaps according to N.Y. or the yen. Also, BOJ meeting results (next one on the 21st) almost always produce wide swings no matter what the announcement contains. The BOJ announcement usually comes out between 11:30 and 13:00...

Anyone traded the Mini-Nikkei 225 MJNK Osaka - Japan (JPX)

Sorry, I'm a strict TA trader and don't look for the reasons why people buy and sell.

Anyone traded the Mini-Nikkei 225 MJNK Osaka - Japan (JPX)

Yes, more than enough. Just don't be mislead by the last month or so which has been unusually dull.

Anyone traded the Mini-Nikkei 225 MJNK Osaka - Japan (JPX)

I have traded it since it was listed. The best strategy is not one that someone else has developed. I think you would do better by studying the product and developing your very own strategy based on your knowledge, ability etc.

Nikkei 225 on SGX - Tick Size?

As JackRab stated the strategy trade would be used for spreads. It is also used for rollovers. On the Osaka exchange strategy trades are done separately from trades in the auction market. They are executed as cross trades through a different system and don't appear in the DOM. That's why they...

Rarely seen on ET and elsewhere

If you insist on an example of someone asking for information on ET without saying 'please', and an example of what could have been googled first, here's one: "I would like to know how frozen Fish, Chicken and Beef nutritional value compares to fresh. I like frozen fish because of the...
