I personally love the amex. Those guys are honest and fair. I have gotten more stop time orders on amex stocks than on the NYSE, and I only do about 5% of the volume that I do on the nyse. I almost always get price improvements on the amex too.

I really want to know how they legally do it. I am at IB now. I really love it though. Before, I had to wait a full day for my trades to clear from overnights. I love the 4X leverage on 1 dollar stocks too. I can margin against my THV holdings all I want.

On something more liquid like that, you probably wont get fills on NX, as he'll hold you for price improvement. I personally don't like NX b/c you can't get price improvements. On something that trades under 500k a day, you can use NX and it will work well.

Yeah, making money of the spec is easy most of the time. Nitro, just use a limit order under 800 shares that's on a bid/offer. You'll nx him instantly. For some reason, IB doesn't believe in 1k nx orders. 800 and under and it works.

I rutinely do 5-25% of the daily volume of a stock and do 1-3 day swing trades. It's just my style I guess. I trust the specialists much more than some flimsy 100 share island bid.

Hand down, listed is better. You can't take 20k+ shares of some OTC stock if it only trades 200k shares a day. You're just asking for a world of pain.
