    IB APPLICATION JAPAN ACCOUNT

Why don't you just call them? (03) 4588-9700, 0830-1700. Whenever I call them they are very nice and helpful. Did you send a copy of your alien registration card/resident card? Just a bank statement is not usually accepted here as proof of address.

Why can't I pull the trigger?

While I don't think that is an appropriate subject to be discussed here, I will just say that I was well trained before going to Vietnam, but many went in right after boot camp and so they were not mentally prepared for what they saw and had to do.

Why can't I pull the trigger?

I'm an ex-Marine who qualified for the Marine Corps rifle team. What you said is exactly right. You must be a great shooter too!!

T/A Fails Time and Time Again - Why?

While not directly related to the subject of your thread, drawing charts by hand was a great experience. Back then I sat in the broker's boardroom and plotted the day's data on up to 300 charts. You develop a 'feeling' for price movement that I would guess you don't achieve with only screen...

Wait - a truly professional trading platform for only $50?!?!

If you're the boss, you should be pretty hot under the collar. How many sales have you lost due to your sales people not replying to potential customers? What a shame. Maybe you should have your sales people read http://www.dalecarnegie.com/ebook/outstanding-customer-service-guide/...

    It's the Pattern, Stupid!

If the train pulls out of the station without you, don't chase after it. Wait for it to come back and pick you up. And when you see passengers on the roof, and hanging out of the windows, you know it's near the end of the line.

    It's the Pattern, Stupid!

Just make sure you double check your boarding pass before you get on. And keep your eyes on those guys in the First Class seats. Get off when they do. They won't ride to the end of the line. But if you do miss your stop, don't blame the conductor.

    It's the Pattern, Stupid!

But it's not that cut and dry, as it all depends on the situation, doesn't it? A reversal pattern that fails near the end of a trend will not be as attractive as a continuation pattern that fails at the end of a correction. The very fact that a reversal pattern formed before failing is an...

Lost interest while waiting for an answer.

Wait - a truly professional trading platform for only $50?!?!

I had a question and used the 'contact us' form on your site. It's been many moons since then and still no answer. Boy, if this is how your sales people handle potential customers, I'd hate to think of what happens after you sign up and pay. In my day nobody went home until all of the day's...

    It's the Pattern, Stupid!

Exactly!! But more importantly, how did you get those fish to pose for that picture? And congratulations on passing 10,000 posts!

Typical useful life of your trading laptop

Far from being knowledgeable on this, would you please tell me what the advantage would be in having a trading computer with SSD? Thank you.

Is technical analysis less applicable to today's stock markets?

Exactly, same here! Today they run around searching for the Holy Grail in their indicators etc. when the old school stuff IS the H.G!!

Is technical analysis less applicable to today's stock markets?

Double Top 1946, and Double Top 2015. Looks like the old stuff still works!!

    It's the Pattern, Stupid!

FYI I'm between 20 and 200, but not as old as I look, act or smell!

    It's the Pattern, Stupid!

I have not found that to be a requirement. The old school is still open, and the flags are still flying. One just flew a few minutes ago in the Nikkei.

    It's the Pattern, Stupid!

No, and trying to read the price movement as such would be seeing what's not there. The flag is a continuation pattern, while Vic's 123 is a reversal, and each has its own requirements to be qualified as such. For example Vic's must have a trend line break, while the flag needn't. In fact the...

    It's the Pattern, Stupid!

I think you are looking at Vic's 1-2-3 and the Flag as being one in the same. But they are not. Will try to explain later.

    It's the Pattern, Stupid!

The point you've marked as 3 is what I meant as being the 4th reversal point.
