I bought 1000 shares of xop in 2015, at that time the oil price is around 50. I has been holding it ever since. now the oil price is higher than in 2015, but xop only worths 15. I lost 37000 on the 1000 shares. why is xop so bad?

so if I buy 1 tsla 750 call, at 4pm, it is 749.5, so it expires out of the money. but after market it goes to 751, so I can ask broker to exercise the option (i get 100 shares)? how about if after the 4pm, tsla goes further down to 748, can I still ask broker to exercise the option( even though...

i once sold a put option, it is out of money at 4pm, but after the market, it moves down a lot, made the option in the money. in the end, the option did not expire worthless if calculated using 4pm, it is exercised which gave me a big loss.

the question is what price is the broker uses to exercise the option? 4pm close or 5:15pm or 8:00pm?

if you buy the option, you mean to sell the option in after-hours? but the option exchange is closed after 4:00pm. or you buy the option at 3:50pm, you then short the stock after hours?

level 1 historical data,including NBBO bid and ask, plus trades.

some orders were filled at ISLAND, ARCA, NYSE, but some orders filled at FINRA, what is it? in IB, when submitting an order, i can select exchange to send the order, but there is no FINRA option.

in 2008, my order was expired but still filled by IB. I lost 8000 due to this, IB compensated 4000.

not yet. all my accounts+managed accounts under other's name got same email. will call them in a few days to see. i got the email possibly one or two months, just ignored them so far.
