unfortunately with IB API, the commission is 1 dollar even for 1 share since I want to specify exchange instead of using IB smart routing.

ib holds aon order on their server until There are enough shares on ask to hit for me. I want someone hit me with 100 shares.

if alpaca is slow, how about polygon which also uses websocket? Websocket should be as fast as tcp socket since no more headers after it is set up. So what is the reason of the latency? Possibly alpaca is located in ca?

I am using limit order waiting to be hit so it is fine with me. But I do not use those free commission broker yet because they do not have some features which I need such as relative or hidden order. I guess you use market order most of time on liquid stocks.

tradier has free commission with api. besides，how long is your holding period？
