Ron Paul's 3 Minute Summary Of The Causes And Effects Of The Crash

This guy is so far removed from political (not economic) reality that it's not even funny. Ron Paul's best chance of ever running an economy would be to instigate a military coup in South America and establish his dream economy with the gold standard and no central bank. More realistic than ever...

How many people here actually make a living?

It stinks? Try running a brick and mortar business (motels, gas stations, fast food joints, nail saloons) and see what margins are like in "real life". Why would you expect much better margins and way lower risk from a trading operation than from any other conventional business out there?

Summers said the rebuilt U.S. economy must be more export-oriented

It is no coincidence that shovels and other garden tools, seeds and rural lifestyle/self-sufficiency/gardening books are selling like hot cakes the last couple of months. The First Lady getting her hands dirty. Who would've thunk?

Summers said the rebuilt U.S. economy must be more export-oriented

Recently, my now 80 year old Dad told me a story when he came out of the train station on the day they emigrated and for the first time in his life walked through a Western European neighborhood he couldn't believe his eyes as people were out in their gardens, busy mowing and watering humongous...

Summers said the rebuilt U.S. economy must be more export-oriented

Then maybe it's time for those non-college people to learn a new trick or two. What about those guys that lost their jobs in the textile, shoe and apparel industry in the 50s and 60s. Did they cry, whine and blame politicians or wages in Asia or South America? If America (and the rest of the...

Summers said the rebuilt U.S. economy must be more export-oriented

The above is a reason to rejoice, not a reason to become depressed. Environmentally unfriendly, $8 an hour jobs have successfully been moved to China. That's a positive, not a negative. Now those 18 workers that were laid off can find something more productive to do and something that...

    Interactive Brokers Naked Shorts Beware

LOL that guy shorted a microcap with a market cap of 100m, then it gets called in and then whines how he will lose money? This has NOTHING to do with naked shorting. IB borrowed that stock and then it got called away. Plain and simple. The smaller the capitalization of the stock the more likely...
