nasdaq down a whole 1 point

Nice.. quite a few sellers in the indexes seem trigger happy as I write this. Hitting the bid, hitting the bid...

nasdaq down a whole 1 point

Amazing how BIDU melted down from 142 premarket to 127. MSFT +4% is holding this whole market together for now.

    Crap GDP numbers buy dips

I find it interesting why we have to label the market irrational or rational. All I know is if I am on the wrong side and trading against the market then I am losing money. How many people were short Nasdaq 1999 and lost their a**?? Only to go long early 2000. Timing is everything and the market...

GDP tomorrow morning - what's your trade?

MSFT will make a big difference today. +5% premarket and it's in all indexes. I will look at ER2 today this will be a more accurate tell of market direction, blending out MSFT. GBL and ZB now trading down. Guess bonds don't like that deflator :D

GDP tomorrow morning - what's your trade?

Let's get it in perspective. Bad for economy -> Good for stocks!!!! I see a tiny little dip on the open and then a short squeeze all the way up into the close. Like always :p

    Market-on-Open order

On NYSE I often don't get filled on shorts on the open (MOO) or close (MOC), I guess it's due to the uptick rule? Extremely annoying. Have to babysit those trades it's really ridiculous.

GDP tomorrow morning - what's your trade?

Anybody shorting any common or God forbid index futures must have felt incredible pain. There is no retracement. There is no relief. If you sell your ES long and hope to buy it back 5 points lower you're out of the game for weeks (exaggerating, but you get the picture). That's it, it won't come...

    Quadriga Superfund - Managed Futures

If you look at their performance chart for the last 3 years you can see there's only one guy making money: Baha! 5% annual base fee for this dog of a fund. Insane.

Never Listen To Anyone Else, Ever

Most people don't know that buffet actually traded aggressively in the 60s and 70s because the AUM were smaller by many magnitudes. Slowly his assets became too big for his arbitrage strategies to still be feasible. Hence the current buying into huge blue chip companies and speculation in liquid...

    Quadriga Superfund - Managed Futures

Watch the fund performance on the next "selloff" in the markets. It will get blown back 25% in a week. Been grinding back and forth now for 3+ years, not making investors any money.

    What Happened to Brush Engineered?

Yes, there is more supply than demand for the stock. Hence price goes lower. If the disparity is large the price can drop fast quickly. Forget numbers, forget earnings. Short term, they mean nothing. It's all about bid and ask.

I Have Not Seen So Much Bullish Sentiment Since 1999

So where's our favorite smart a**es Eprado and Allaces? Please tell us how easy it is to make money shorting strength and how someday (is it tomorrow? :p ) we bulls will blow up our accounts in a huge market downturn. Let's hear it. It never gets old. Always reminds me where the money comes...

    some facts

Very bullish IMO. Everything under the magical 5%, cheap money to chase index futures.

I Have Not Seen So Much Bullish Sentiment Since 1999

In the last couple of months there were voices stating how concerned they were because margin interest was steadily increasing. Now we know where the margin went. Many institutions or at least a few large enough funds must have been net short. They are the invisible bid under the market, they...

Whats better than a gap up??? 5 gap ups in a row!! Gosh the poor bears are feeling the pain!

    AAPL beats...

NQ 1902 +1.7% Now that's what I call a solid day. Now what are the bears going to do? Wait for a 2% dip that may not come in a week or two??? :D Love these runaway bull markets. Perfect world.
