Does anyone else feel sleepy while trading?

London remains in the best time zone for trading which partly explains why it's the global financial centre of the world.

An afternoon nap is probably worth half what the equivalent time spent at night is.

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

if 600 is breached on the dow (june)...probable re test of the yesterday's lows..if they go, then a path to 200 and lower...beyond that is freefall. having said that there is a respite if june dow can breach 750...then back to above 25000

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

News follows the market. @Saltynuts , the market is facing higher interest rates, keep increasing them and the market has to fall. Combine that fact with the weekly trends on the main indices are looking negative..well, what do you think? 30%+ decline from the top is not unheard of...

Building in failure to help manage risk

So you don't look at the nominal value of your positions ?

Building in failure to help manage risk

You may be right since trades are marked to market at the end of the day. However, you could still be operating with excessive leverage e.g. say 100k acct, but your nominal value of your position, when added up, were now in the millions. Which may infringe your risk management parameters.

college is a waste of money

Why would a grade A or B student want to work for Kiyosaki at lower pay than they could receive elsewhere? Sounds dumb to me. Perhaps they are not truly an A or B student! More like an F. Edit: maybe it's because he smiles at them? lol

Building in failure to help manage risk

One problem i see is that your broker might not allow so many contracts to be opened if there was not enough to cover the margin. Indeed you may also be limited by the size of the account in terms of how much leverage you are willing to take. On another note, may i ask what you would do if you...

A dietitian weighs in on the Ketogenic diet for weight loss

That's what you were precisely arguing:

A dietitian weighs in on the Ketogenic diet for weight loss

Yes. I lost 20kg of fat during a ketogenic diet (mildly so since the daily net carb amount varied from around 25g to 75g) and I actually gained strength (i could lift heavier and more reps). Btw, i'm a certified personal trainer (but i don't train anyone apart from myself). So i guess i'm...

A dietitian weighs in on the Ketogenic diet for weight loss

The authors of that study said: We have demonstrated that using VLCKD [ketogenic] for a relatively short time period (i.e. 30 days) can decrease body weight and body fat without negative effects on strength performance in high level athletes. So don't understand your post tbh.

A dietitian weighs in on the Ketogenic diet for weight loss

These studies beg to differ. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1844567 Following intense exercise resulting in high concentrations of muscle lactate, muscle glycogen synthesis occurs at between 15-25 mmol.kg-1 wet wt.hr-1. These synthesis rates occur without ingested carbohydrate during the...

A dietitian weighs in on the Ketogenic diet for weight loss

Weightlifting (vigorous effort) has an expenditure value of 0.048 kcal/lb/min*. Note that this is total energy expenditure. Let's say you are a 170 pound guy. So for one hour of pure, no breaks or rest periods between sets, the amount of calories used is 490. However, it's unlikely that you...
