The top 3 guys who make over 1 million a year at my firm...

Here is something I never understood about the great people and traders in this forum. Let us assume there are 100 great folks here who know how to trade well, and make money. Why do they not get together and put in say 1K to 2K, build an organization, make money, and use it as a base to...

True! However the marginal cost for FT is almost zero. Let us say it is 0.01. Then they have a profit margin of 5000% for a $5. If I were to ask the stiff who works there if I were to pay him 500 dollar to put a cookie and ads on his computer, he would tell me even at 5000, I should get lost...

JT: Thanks. If you pay for FT, you must be some really rich guy full of cash. If so, I wish you more. You deserve it. With regard to links, they have their apache server redirect traffic to the landing page (even coming from google search). Everyone has a bait to get money. In FT, the...

Notice that the formulation of your question can get yes as answer even if one were to give only 0.01 dollar as leverage. There is a free option to the other side when you use the keywords: "Up To". My question would be: could you go beyond 1.2MM, and if yes what are the condition you cannot...

How does it work? Is there a link? Maybe they are just bypassing the interest and using put-call parity. I read an article from a lawyer once, and he explained how those islamic loans work. They are also sharks as anyone else. They should be closed for intellectual dishonesty. The whole finance...

Goldman views one red cent as worth to collect, or the average people view 10% a little. Note that with an interest rate at say 0.50%: 10% is a 20 times profit margin. In % the margin is: 2000%! Where in the world could I have a business with a 2000% margin?

How about if I were to pay you zero if I lose, but I pay you DOUBLE the interest if I were to win. You see, I would be generous, I would pay you TWICE what you want. If you find this deal not fair, why should I view your deal as better?

This is actually a good post, and it the type of rare things where I would pay up! There has been actually a trade I thought of that was essentially an arb based on that principle. The issue was to be sure not to get kicked out before a due date. I doubt prop firms would guarantee me the not...

Why There Are Stocks With Non-Zero Alpha?

Each stock has a beta, and the market as a whole has a beta. Therefore, there should not exist stocks that have a non-zero alpha (or at least a non significant alpha). How come could this happen in a market?

Why People Buy Stocks With Bad Fundamentals?

    1. Let us say there is a stock with negative return on assets, negative margins, and high leverage. Since people seem to own them, there must be a reason why people buy them. So why do they buy such stocks? 2. Could you give examples of bad fundamentals?

I think you are smart, but you wasted my time clicking on your links thinking I will land on actual threads. Post links to actual threads, not links to forum. Happy thanksgiving
