Katie Porter setting the record straight, again

Derp derp derp evil corporations derp derp. Yes all the corporations in the world are colluding to raise prices on consumer. Just now. This has nothing to do with the government raising the money supply at a 25%+ annual rate over the last few years. Derp derps gonna derp.

Anyone else STRONGLY disagree with what the Fed is doing?

Yes, not equal. They can stop buying bonds and still be hiking rates into Bolivia, which is exactly what they are doing. After me responding to you like 37 times my original point still stands. But happy to keep responding to things you point out that I already know and that don't dispute my...

Question about margin requirements w/r/t options sales

Wait, I was looking at Earth Imperator's math, that makes sense to me. ETJ, were you saying I need to maintain something like only 20% of that amount as margin?

That makes perfect sense ETJ and Earth Imperator, thanks so much!

Question about margin requirements w/r/t options sales

I'm trying to back test some option sale strategies. I am just making up numbers here. But let's say I have an account balance of $100, and a stock with a price of $10 will fetch me $1 if I sell a put exactly at the money. Can I essentially sell 10 puts ($100 divided by $10 price of stock)...

Are after-hours moves in stocks more likely to be reversed?

I don't pay much attention to individual stocks, but looking at my account balances over night and what happens in the next day, its a crap shoot. I think if the markets are up big overnight they are generally more likely than not to open up big and carry through the next day, but quite a lot...

Anyone else STRONGLY disagree with what the Fed is doing?

Yes, hence STOP BUYING BONDS FED. That is all that needs to be done is my point. Don't raise rates to such a degree that you cripple the economy because crippling the economy will mean depression which will mean everyone poor which will mean nobody can afford things which will mean prices must...

Anyone else STRONGLY disagree with what the Fed is doing?

The Treasury issuing bonds is not in and of itself inflationary - its taking the money out of the public and putting it in the hands of the government. But the Fed BUYING those bonds by printing money is what is behind all this inflation. As you said, they just need to quit purchasing, and let...

Anyone got dual 49" curved monitors one on top of other?

LOL. Its faded a good bit, that is true. Still, if I have 30 free minutes sure, sometimes I'll choose to play a game. BUT, I use my computer 85% for other things, its just that the only reason I think I'd go twin 49 inchers stacked is for the gaming benefits.

Anyone got dual 49" curved monitors one on top of other?

Anyone have these? I'm thinking of this more for gaming rather than trading, but even insights from you traders are welcome! I can't imagine how immersive two 49 inchers one on top of the other, curved around you (a little bit) would be!

Anyone else STRONGLY disagree with what the Fed is doing?

You hear all this "gotta do whatever it takes to stop inflation". Just saw another article that Fed must cause massive job loss to stop inflation. What in God's name? I get inflation bad, but you know what? YOU ALREADY PRINTED THE MONEY THAT CREATED THE INFLATION. I read in several places...

Attention: Ken - you fading this rally too?

Indeed Ken! It was as flat as a darned ironing board. It did NOT have any crater moments like it has had in so many past days. It went straight up and stayed up. I see that as strength.
