Lightweight LCD display device as second monitor

Thanks for the suggestion dtrader98. Yes I have a few of those. USB-to-VGA (and one to DVI). I am after the actual LCD monitor itself. I have been bringing a couple of Samsung 22"/23" monitors to my trips. They are light, but still... >10 lb each. So 20+ lb added to my luggage. I am...

Lightweight LCD display device as second monitor

Thanks for you suggestion easymon1. I am not looking for a replacement LCD screen. I want to use the LCD screen on the laptop, plus 1 or 2 more external LCD devices on a trip. Those replacement screens will not work as additions.

EverythingIhad: You have lots of choices on the KVM solution. I use a few of these: Belkin 2-port KVM switch. Like this one: http://www.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=262915 They have many different models, depends on how you want to share the mouse/keyboard on the...

AAPL trading wildly the last few mins!!

I don't know why I seemed to be attacked again and again on my comments. Here is my AAPL trade on the hick up. I didn't buy the low. I wish I did. But I shorted the bounce from the low. A $1 scalp in 15 seconds. I haven't seen that kind of quick moves since May 6 last year...

AAPL trading wildly the last few mins!!

This is not 2008. Sharp or not sharp is a relative term. Market volatility dwindled so much that AAPL now only moves a few dollars a day, despite being a $350 stock. Dropping $10 in 10 minute, though in percentage terms may not impress you but it was sharp to me. If you are looking for a...

AAPL trading wildly the last few mins!!

I am not playing stock genius but was only responding to the comment about "the stock down 4 dollars it is a huge buying opportunity". I read it too quick and missed the sarcastic tone. From my experience, a sharp drop intraday very like triggers a sharp bounce - as seen on May 6, 2010 Flash...

AAPL trading wildly the last few mins!!

It sure looked like Flash Crash II. AAPL dropped $10 in 10 minutes. Is it a good buy opp? It depends on your catching price. When it dropped from 358 to 355 was it a good buy? It wasn't because the low was 348 (long term Resistance turned Support). Now 353. This time the difference is...

    Standard Mouse or Roller Ball???

I had tried the Kensington trackball too but their design didn't work too well for me. I like them that: 1) Their trackballs are bigger - I always like a larger trackball than a smaller one. 2) They have a scrolling wheel (designed as a ring around the trackball). Good for browsing web...

    PC Video Card Advice

From my experience mixing different models from the same manufacturer with the same line of chipset (e.g. GeForce), that's not much of a problem. But mixing different makes or mixing the chipsets (e.g. mixing PNY Technologies with EVGA or ATI, or mixing NVidia GeForce with NVidia Quadro), that...

    PC Video Card Advice

There is an alternative approach. If you just want to add only a third monitor (but not the 4th, 5th, so on), you can buy a USB-to-VGA or USB-to-DVI adapter to drive the third monitor without having to change our your computer or your existing graphic card. The overhead should be small. The...

    Standard Mouse or Roller Ball???

I love trackballs. I have replaced all my mouse/mice with trackballs. I am using 4 of them. Logitech. I like it that I don't have to move the mouse. I can roll the ball very quickly. Much more efficient than mouse. I like the design with a big ball than a small one. The wireless...

    starting a trading group?

I think that would be tough. We retails are peanuts. Put 100 peanuts together... it is still peanuts. What kind of rates are you looking for in improvement (your volume discount)?

What service you use to connect to the Internet?

The speed is usually quoted in Mbps - mega bits per second. 1 byte = 8 bits. 10 Mbps - 25 Mbps are cable modem speed. IMO FIOS (fiber optics) is the best in terms of speed and reliability. I don't have any experience with it because it's not available where I live. I have both Comcast...

What service you use to connect to the Internet?

He said "FIOS". Which means fiber optic. 30 Mbps is not out of line. Could be faster even. The upload speed is not as asymmetric as cable modem or DSL that you have seen. As for "adding another PC to the WAN"... is the second PC sharing your WAN connection via a router? If so, then the...
