    USB-to-DVI adapter that supports 1920 x 1080 resolution

I think it is hard to say. You may need to test out the configuration and do your own benchmark tests and return the items if performance is not up to your standard. It probably depends on the complexity of the charts you are displaying. If like most of us traders all you display are price...

    USB-to-DVI adapter that supports 1920 x 1080 resolution

Your question prompted some thoughts. I did some experiments. My second laptop is a 17". Resolution 1440 x 900. I installed the driver and plugged in the Tritton UV200 USB-to-DVI adapter and connected that to a 1920 x 1080 external monitor. It did drive the second monitor at its max...

Imagine you can program a computer to recognize those apple patterns and do a similar job. The computer can simultaneously watch over many conveyor belts that you can't. Then... they know you would pick the same apple... they have a fast robot to grab that apple before you can from the...

    Win 7 SP1 - Nvidia Quadro NVS 450

I agree. I have multiple computers. I used to run Windows update and Norton on all of them. They turned out to be really wasting time. Windows update just downloaded updates about every couple of days. (And I bet 99.9% of the updates really didn't concern me.) Running Norton is worse...

    USB-to-DVI adapter that supports 1920 x 1080 resolution

Oh, okay. If you use a USB-to-DVI adapter, your external monitor display is driven by the graphic chip and circuitry provided by that adapter. Your laptop's screen size is irrelevant. A UV200 can drive an external monitor with 1920 x 1080 resolution whether you use a 17.3" laptop or 14" laptop.

Or if you are considering buying a new laptop, check our their technical specs (particularly: what graphics chip they use) before buying.

    USB-to-DVI adapter that supports 1920 x 1080 resolution

It is not the laptop screen size that has an effect. It is the graphic chip your laptop vendor choce to use that determines what resolutions it can support. Though if you have a smaller screen laptop, they may use a chip that supports lesser resolutions. The laptop's built-in graphics chip...

    Tech Gurus - Please Help

I think it is certainly possible, though I have not experienced such with many dual cards I have over the years. I have over a dozen dual cards (mostly EVGA and PNY Technologies, both use NVidia chips). The one card that went south on me was the AGP bus card (popped capacitors). All my...

    Tech Gurus - Please Help

PCI and PCIe x16 are impossible to swap. Pinouts are all different. Many vendors use the same model number for their PCI card and PCIe x16 card (or AGP card for that matter), because their model numbers usually follow the graphic chip designation (driven by NVidia or ATI). So the consumer...

How much has been enough for you?

It is not about having enough money. The key is about consistency. If you are not consistent, you can have a million dollar to start and lose it away. If you are consistent, you can have the confidence, and borrow money and start with nothing and do okay.

Lightweight LCD display device as second monitor

I do this whenever I go on a trip. Usually a couple every year. I bring 2 laptops and 2 external monitors with me. 22" or 24" monitors. For the monitors: detach the base. Have the 2 monitors facing each other and buffered with some T-shirts or cloths. Wrap them with my towel to protect...
