I intend to post trades before they're taken. I can't guarantee that I'll do it every single time but I will post in advance. That being said, I'm looking at a long trade on mini-gold. I don't see gold rising over the long haul, so this will be a really short-term trade.

This is going to sound like a silly question but I'm actually serious in asking this. How do some of you go about finding stocks to trade? I trade futures and forex and never really dealt in stocks, so finding instruments in which to trade is much simpler. Finding stocks are a different ball...

Considering the small amount and the instrument I'm trading, I'll risk 10% ($300 per trade) in the beginning. That'll lessen as the account grows.

I don't know if you believe in price action but here's the reason for my take: Apple found support at the 50% retracement point of the mid October to Late November rally point. That's typical. What happens from here will decide the strength or weakness of Apple.

AAPL found support where it should have. If it bounces higher from this level, I say that there is some strength in AAPL still but if not, then AAPL is a short.

To clarify, when I say "the tape," I'm speaking of price action in general.

I know this thread is old but here's my take. I check out the fundamentals but I validate my entire outlook by what price is telling me. For instance, if I feel that due to fundamental reasons a market should fall, I would have to see prices setting up for a fall before I trust the fundamental...

I'd simply avoid trying to call tops in this market. It's been pretty easy to forecast strong downswings but trying to call tops has proven futile.

What's really unfortunate is that black people like myself get lumped in with these coons even though we are totally against all of the foolishness that has occurred these past few months.

I say that cops in those bad areas should go on strike.
